"So is that real?" Sebastian questioned the wolf skin now lying on a coffee table since Josie obligated that they would change into "normal" clothes.
"It is." She answers.
"Creepy." Nik muttered causing Hope's ears to perk up.
"It's not creepy." She practically growls making him flinch, and back away.
The brunette only shakes her head at her wife's defensiveness while silence brewed for a few moments.
"So...Josie?" Lizzie clears her throat catching the brunette's attention.
"Yes Elizabeth, wait no Lizzie is what they call you?" Josie asked but it sounded more like a statement, no hint of familiarity in her tone, breaking her sister's heart slightly.
"Do you remember anything?" Lizzie wondered, optimism laced in her words.
"Nothing at all, but that will all change soon." Josie shrugs.
"You seem optimistic." Sebastian points out.
"I trust my children, and I'll believe in them." Josie admits.
"What about you, Hope?" Mg sits back on the couch, hands on his knees.
"I trust Josie and Eileen, if they trust those two bra—I mean twins then I'll be willing to put some trust into them." Hope corrected herself.
"Awe thanks, even though you were about to call us brats." Nikolai rolled his eyes as he entered the room with his sibling.
"I still can't believe they actually have a daughter." Hayley mentions, the older people in the family had been on the other side of the grand room discussing the many things that has happened or could happen.
"From what I've heard, I can't believe it either. I thought vampires couldn't procreate?" Eileen questioned as she swiped through the book for the spell she was looking for.
"Maybe the rules changed since you were in a prison world." Freya theorized.
"That's an interesting speculation...Ah here we go, Esther's Memory Alteration Spell. Who's Esther?" Eileen looked up from the book.
"Our mother." Rebekah cleared her throat seeing as the rest of the Mikaelsons went pale from the mention of their mother's name.
"Okay Grandmother, let's see if this works." Eileen ignored the brief tension before shutting the book and setting it to the side.
Nikolai summons the needed candles, he already knowing the requirements for casting the spell after studying the magical book for half a decade. Out of two, he is the better witch and Hayes a better werewolf. Hayes had triggered his werewolf's curse at the age of ten and immediately honed those skills. Once the set up was complete, Eileen set her parents in the middle of the candle lit circle and instructed them to close their eyes to which they obliged to. Nikolai held out his hands towards his parents, closed his eyes then begun the incantation (the actual incantation to this spell is unknown c:). His siblings immediately join in with the wind suddenly picking up. Another minute passes and they complete the spell, waiting patiently to see if their parents had regained their lost memories.
"Why does it feel like I've been a sleep for a long time?" Hope groans, her head aching as she stands.
"I feel tired as well—" Josie stops her speaking once her eyes set onto the three siblings. "Oh my you two have grown so much." She nearly begins to weep, bending slightly to take in her sons' features.
"No way that's Hayes and Nikolai." Hope poked her head from behind Josie and she nods with a smile.
"Yay it worked!" Eileen cheered catching her parents' attention.
Hope squinted her eyes at the child while Josie also takes in the girls' features. They held memories of and with the child yes but they also had questions.
"It is us, believe it." Hayes refocused their attention.
"You've triggered your wolf side, I'm sorry I couldn't be there to assist you." Hope frowned slightly.
"It's okay Mom, I'm just happy you're back, the both of you." Hayes' face beaming with happiness.
"So much has changed I suppose, how did we end up there anyways?" Josie stood up straight while turning to Hope.
"I don't remember, that part is still hazy. But are we going to address the fact that we have a daughter?" Hope points out and Eileen looks to her brothers with worry.
"Yes, we do have a daughter is seems. That part still confuses me too but that's just how our life is, right?" Josie chuckles and Hope laughs with her.
"Eileen huh? I'm sure a part of me was thinking of Elijah when we named her." Hope mutters catching the Mikaelsons and her mother's attention.
"I raised you and I didn't get a name?" Freya teased and Hope tilts her head in confusion.
"Her full name is Eileen Francesca Mikaelson." Josie reveals, realizing that they never fully introduced their daughter.
Eileen gave the Mikaelsons a bright smile while Freya had a small smile on her face.
"What about me?" Rebekah frowns and Hope laughs nervously.
"Sorry Aunt Bex, but you do have to remember that I didn't have my memory." Hope puts up her hands and Josie giggles.
"So which one of you wants that?" She then points to the wolf skin sitting on the coffee table.
"Wait seriously?" Eileen jaw drops knowing how much Hope loves it.
"Yeah I'm not wearing that anymore." Hope shivers at the thought of the wolf being skinned.
"Then me, it's so cool!" Nikolai swiftly grabs the piece causing Mg and Lizzie's jaw to drop.
"Who are you and what have you done to Niko?" Lizzie asked, Nikolai rolls his eyes and Josie's attention is drawn to her.
"Oh hush Aunt Liz." He ran his hand through the fur.
"Lizzie! You're still so young." Josie jaw drops at her observation.
"That's because I turned, who do you take me for?" Lizzie scoffs playfully but immediately softens when her sister rushes into her arms.
"I should've expected that." Josie giggles causing her sister to join in as well.
A huge wave of contentment settling into the blonde's soul knowing that she has finally gotten her sister back.
"How are the rest of the squad?" Hope asks Mg, them rekindling as well.
"They are out and about, exploring the world and making something with their lives." He waves off.
"Something I taught them!" Alaric spoke catching the couple's attention as well.
"Oh my, dad you have aged." Josie says making the room laugh while Alaric tears up a bit.
"That's so mean." He sniffs.
"Sorry, I missed you two." Josie crashes into her parents' arms, Hope doing the same with her parents.
"It's nice to know that my boys are keeping you two alive and kicking." She joked, and they only roll their eyes.
"Oh hush, gifting us another grandchild and nonetheless a girl as well?" Hayley rose an eyebrow.
"I mean my wife is pretty desirable, I would gift you 15 if I could." Hope shrugs while Josie and Alaric pulls a horrific face along.
"Not happening!" They shot down making the room laugh once more.
"Speaking of you being my wife, are we going to have an actual wedding ceremony my love?" Hope places her hands on her hips and Josie blushes slightly.
"It would be nice or whatever." She smiles and their kids pulls a face of disgust.
"You two have been married for over 8 years, there's no way you're still blushing Mommy." Eileen says in a bit of shock.
"Dear child, you will understand when you're older." Josie only tells her making Eileen look to her brothers who only shrugs.
A/N: Serious question, would Lizzie still be bipolar although a Heretic? Does vampirism cure mental illnesses since technically the brain is dead?
