It's been a couple of days since the couple had arrived to New Orleans and had settled into the manor. Josie updated her family about there being no attacks so far which Alaric is grateful for, Alaric also informed her on there not being any attacks either. It made them assume if this was still either planned or random. Josie is currently playing Go Fish with Sebastian since he neither knew how to play and has been learning many of the board/card games.

"Do you have a 7 hearts?" He asked.

"Go fish." Josie replies and he groans.

"I'm so bad this." He frowned and Josie giggles.

"King of spades." She held out her hand and he slapped it in her hand then threw his cards down.

"I don't wanna play anymore, why did I even challenge the valedictorian?" He asks himself while Josie sorted the cards.

"It's basically luck and memory." She shrugged and he sighed.

"Hello my son and Caroline's daughter." Rebekah greeted the two.

"Hello Rebekah." Josie greeted.

"Hi Mom." Sebastian sat back down.

"Shouldn't you be outside enjoying the sun and summer air?" Rebekah questioned the two.

"Born and raised in Virginia, it is too hot for my liking." Josie sighed and Rebekah giggles.

"You're a witch, spell yourself to be cooler." She shrugged.

"I'm a siphoning witch, I have limited magic and the babies will just siphon me if I try to use magic as well." Josie sighed noticing her fire spells have been evaporating as of late.

"Hope." Rebekah calls and the young auburn vamps into the room.

"Yes aunt Bex?" Hope asked and Rebekah ushered to Josie. "Is everything okay?" She then questions her girlfriend who nods but raises her hands signaling for Hope to help her up.

"Can you do a cooling spell as well as a quick changy swappy clothing spell?" Josie gives Hope puppy eyes and Hope does both swiftly.

"Anything else?" The auburn pecked Josie's knuckles.

"Water?" She also ask for Hope nods then vamps away.

"Righty then, go get dressed." Rebekah instructed her son and he vamped off to his room.

Once he exited the house, Freya places a spell preventing anyone from
entering and they made their way to the cars awaiting.

"Can I ride with Hope and Josie mommy?" Nik asked Keelin.

"May." She corrected.

"Sorry, may I?" He flashed his goofy smile.

"Yes you may." Keelin pinched his cheek before getting into the car.

"Yay!" He runs over to the couple talking and raises his arms.

Josie scoops him up then sits down while Hope turns to Sebastian.

"Are you riding with your mom?" She questions him.

"No, they kicked me out." He frowned.

"Get in idiot." Hope lets out a laugh.

Once everyone is in a car, they drive to the inner city see that there is a musical festival happening. Parking their cars and exiting them, they paraded their way through crowds and split off.

"New Orleans is so beautiful." Josie gazed around the city.

"I know, especially at night." Hope swung their locked hands.

"Ooh, what's this?" Josie tugged her to a delectable stand that filled their nostrils with hunger.

"2 for $10." The man showcased the food item and Hope pulled out a Hamilton and handed the man the bill.

They grabbed and bit into the food making them both hum. Hope handed the man another bill and he gave them another pair and they made their way to what seemed to be a performance. Sitting down, Hope left to get the two something to drink while Josie watched the musical. 5 minutes in, Hope returns and they both are captured into the story. Before they know it, the sun sets and they are approached by Freya with Nik in her arms.

"Hey you two." She greeted catching their attention.

"Hi aunt Freya, something's up?" Hope wondered.

"I can sense a monster nearby, we should head back to the manor." Freya informs and they nodded.

"So they are here for you." Josie concluded, Hope helping her up.

"Annoyingly, but it will get taken care of so no worries." Hope sighed then interlocked her hand with Josie's once again.

They follow Freya back to the parked cars and got into the vehicles, Nik on Josie's lap while Sebastian reappear with almost a whole different outfit.

"You looked like you had fun." Josie giggles.

"I did, I love it here." He smiles giddily then got into the back seat.

Once they are all in the car, Hope pulls off towards the manor and they arrive in a short timely manner. Sebastian takes Josie and Nik inside once Freya removes the smell while Hope and Keelin sniff out the area for any unusual scents.

"I wonder what it is." Kol used his super hearing but hears nothing.

After a few more moments, Hope goes flying through the front door making Josie jump up from the kitchen stool.

"Ow." Hope groans then got up with an assistance from her girlfriend.

Josie protection mark quickly covers her body and a blast of light emits from her then they see something crashes into a wall. The beast groans and Hope prepares to do a smell but it vanishes again.

"You okay?" Freya asks as they enter the house.

"I'm fine, that thing is bleeding though." Hope popped her shoulder back into its socket.

"In a house full of vampires, oh goodie." Kol smirked then inhaled the monster's blood.

"You can run, but you can't hide." Rebekah grabbed a random pole and threw it at the monster but it swiftly dodged.

"Damn, my turn." Kol grabbed a bat and vamped to where he sensed the beast and swung the air.

"Kol, get out of the way." Davina rolled her eyes at the Mikaelson's futile attempts.

Kol vamps back at his wife's side and she casts a spell spewing powder all over the area revealing an outline of the beast.

"And dead." Marcel says tossing the beast's heart up and down but the beast was very much still alive.

"Incendia." Josie casts, burning the heart causing the beast to also be engulfed into flames. "Ou you seen that?" She asked Hope excitedly.

"You and your fire spells." Hope watched as the protection spell slowly disappear.

"It was sparky, and bright and warm. I like that." Josie squeaks.

"You're so adorable, even though you nearly burned the house down." Hope chuckles and Josie pouts.

"Sorry." Her pouty lips causing Hope's doe eyes to appear, her aunt and uncles will definitely be teasing her about it later.

"It's fine, inform your father about the monster." Hope pecked the pouty lips.

"Will do." Josie patted Hope down to confirm that she was okay before making her way to their room.

Hope, Freya and Davina cleaned up the area while the rest of the family either researched the monster or went to sleep.
