A long and dreadful decade has passed, the twins had moved to Virginia with Lizzie while the Mikaelson's travelled around the globe searching for some form of answers. Since Nikolai didn't have any memories as it all happened when he was about two years old, he was clueless of the whole family affair that is taking place now involving his parents. Knowing of his parents, just not who...but Hayes was different.

Ever since he could remember, Nikolai had always envied his brother for his perfect memory. To remember everything about their parents even after ten whole years without them. When Hayes had inform him on some details about them, for example when Nikolai had accidentally siphoned Josie which ended up killing her and triggering his curse. How Josie nor Hope was mad and was only worried for their son's safety during the transitioning. Or how competitive their parents were with one another, both being valedictorian and scholars while trying to one up each other.

What made Nikolai envy his brother the most was his confirming to him that the last words ever spoken from their parents was "I love you". Nikolai knew his brother was special, people treated him like so. Although twins, their looks had changed.

Hayes had a buzz cut, his heterochromia from his brown eye extended through his eyelash and through his dark brunette hair making it auburn. His blue eye holding a purple symbol that their grandparents had told them meant the symbol of death.

Nikolai on the other hand, had long curly auburn hair that reached down his neck. Just like Hayes, heterochromia going through his brown eye but a streak of brunette hair fell down his face. He was fairly skinny but he was also quick and flexible which made him an unpredictable character, especially during combat.

Hayes was also stronger than him and maybe even the strongest in the school, having a more muscular build than any one of his age also trained himself for combat. Nikolai knew his brother was perfect so he made sure to out rank him socially since he wouldn't be able to out rank him physically. Certainly making sure that he was on top and that everyone knew he was just that. He wasn't stupid, he never was a quick learner but he was also a A-B student and was a good kid. But his brother of course is a straight A student.

Now back at the Salvatore school, Lizzie agreed to help her mother while Mg agreed to do all the monster fighting so they could spend time together. They are married and raising the two Mikaelson twins made them ready for anything. Lizzie also transitioned willingly to make life easier for herself.

Hayes was training in the gym as usual, practicing with a staff as his mother would always do. Even though he had Josie's face, his personality mirrored Hope's to the tee as Nikolai was vise versa...sorta. His personality would sometimes be rubbed off on from their aunt Lizzie. While the boy trained, he hears about five people entering the gym and could hear one suck their teeth.

"If it isn't the little freak, every time I look at you, you look more like an anime character. I bet you would be the type to have a brother complex, huh freak?" The one in the middle chuckles causing his posies to laugh along with him.

"Is the puppy shy?" One of them asked after Hayes blatant ignorance towards the group.

His mind had been racing with questions all day. For instance, if he had possessed the eye of death then why couldn't he sense his parents? His answers to his own questions was hopeful, no pun intended, that they were alive but are untraceable. How could one of the most creatures on earth disappear? His thoughts were interrupted when someone grabbed his staff.

"I asked you a question." Their ring leader growled and Hayes lets out a soft sigh.

"Idiots." He muttered and the taller boy tilted his head.

"What was that?" He pushed Hayes back.

"When I kick your ass, don't go crying to the granny." Hayes cracked his neck.

"You got serious jokes, as if!" The boy threw the first punch and Hayes didn't waste no time to even dodge the attack.

He simply grabbed his fist and threw him to the bleachers while catching the staff. Twirling it around his fingers, he smirks to the boy's friends and they took off running. This in return made Hayes sigh as he goes to the locker room and placed back the prize possession. He then made his way to the rememberable door room and smiled, it faintly still held the scent of his parents.

"Why are you just standing there weirdo?" Nikolai asked his brother while scrolling through his phone.

"When our parents studied here, they were in this group called the Super Squad where they fought monsters and protected the school. Do you think uncle Mg would allow me to start that up again?" Hayes wondered.

"You have no friend Hayes, who else would join you?" Nikolai shakes his head.

"I have you?" Hayes furrowed his eyebrows and Nikolai gave him a tight lipped smile.

"I don't want to do that though, it sounds like too much work. I'm going to go grab food with my friends." He sighs then gotten up, leaving his brother alone yet again.

The day breezed by and so has the week. The twins were now at the Mikaelson manor as the joint families discussed any updates about the disappearance of their parents. Hayes of course spied while Nikolai played on his phone.

"Ten years ago still nothing." They hear Alaric weep and a soft sigh comes from Freya.

"It still doesn't make sense, I checked every inch of this entire planet...well maybe not the sea but everything inch of land and nothing!" Kol paced around and Nikolai rolled his eyes.

He got up and walked into the room, and crossed his arms.

"They are clearly not in this world then." Nikolai says making Hayes perk up.

"They aren't dead Niko." He denied his brother's theory.

"I'm not saying they are dead and stop calling me that. I'm just saying they don't either exist on this plane or walk the earth." Nikolai rolled his eyes once more.

"So they are outer space?" Damon asked.

"I don't know, I'm 12." Nikolai walks over to the cookies and quickly grabbed one.

"Prison world..." Hayes muttered.

"What?" Caroline asked.

"Mama always talked about her uncle Kai and how he was in a prison world. Maybe that's where they are." He theorized and Hayley face lit up.

There was a moment of silence as everyone collected their thoughts.

"You boys are geniuses." Hayley vamped to them, pulling them into a hug which Hayes happily reciprocated while Nikolai looked away with a blush.

"Why haven't I thought of that. I'll be right back." Freya pulls out her phone, rushing away while Nik watched her mom move without a beat.

"Geez, we have to step up our game Sebastian." He tells his cousin who chuckles.

"I don't know, I don't mind baby Hercules and baby Sherlock Holmes taking the spotlight." Sebastian shrugs.

"It's baby Hulk and baby Thor." Lizzie corrected with her arms crossed and Mg nodded in agreement.
