After Ash caught Lapras, Y/n's egg hatched into an Eevee, and they got a new traveling companion named Tracey. The group then headed toward Mikan Island, where their first gym battle awaited.
They all sat on Lapras as it gracefully swam through the sparkling ocean. Ash, sitting at the front, had Pikachu perched cheerfully on his shoulder. Misty, on the left side of Lapras's broad shell, played gently with Togepi, their laughter blending with the rhythmic sound of the waves. Tracey, with a pen held thoughtfully between his lips, was engrossed in reading his notes on the Pokemon he had researched, his eyes scanning the pages with focused interest. Y/n lay on his back, gazing up at the clear blue sky, while Eevee slept peacefully on his stomach, its small, warm body rising and falling with each breath.
"Oi, crap bandanna! How long till we get there?" Y/n asked, turning his attention towards Tracey, who got annoyed at the stupid nickname.
"We're almost there, only a few hours left," Tracey replied as he wrote something down,"Hours!?" Ash groaned, exhausted at the thought of more time on the water.
Tracey glanced up from his notes and gave Ash a sympathetic smile. "Yeah, but it won't be too bad. The weather's perfect, and Lapras is making good time."
Misty looked up from playing with Togepi and chimed in, "Plus, we can enjoy the view! Just look at how beautiful the ocean is.",Ash sighed, but nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
As they continued their journey, the sun was high in the sky sky. Lapras's movements were steady and smooth, creating a gentle rocking motion that was almost hypnotic. Y/n, siting on Lapras's tail, found himself getting drowsy with Eevee on his shoulder .
Pikachu's ears twitched, and it let out a cheerful, "Pika pi!" as it spotted a school of fish Pokemon swimming alongside them. Ash leaned over to get a better look. "Hey, check it out! Those are Horsea!"
Misty's eyes lit up. "They're so cute! Look at them swimming together."
Tracey quickly grabbed his sketchpad and began to draw, capturing the moment with swift, practiced strokes. "This is amazing! I've never seen so many Horsea in one place before."
"Hold steady," muttered Y/n as he tried a rope to a PokeBall before throwing it at a Horsea making it get sucked in and caught as he pulls it back.
"Haha, I caught a Horsea!" Said Y/n happily as he pulled out his Pokedex and began to look through it.
Tracey put away his sketchpad and stretched, looking out at the horizon. "You know, this journey has been short but it is giving me so much material for my research. It's incredible."
Misty nodded, her eyes still on the playful Togepi. "It's definitely one of the more beautiful routes we've taken. And look, Lapras seems to be enjoying it too."
Lapras let out a contented cry, its voice harmonizing with the sound of the waves. Ash smiled and patted Lapras on the neck. "You're doing great, Lapras. Just a little further."
As they continued, the sky began to change colors, shifting from the bright blue of the day to the rich oranges and pinks of sunset. The first stars started to twinkle above them, reflecting off the calm ocean below.
Y/n, now fully awake, gently nudged Eevee, who yawned and stretched, its large eyes taking in the colorful sky. "Look, Eevee. We're almost there."
Ash stood up carefully, balancing on Lapras's shell. "There it is! Mikan Island, straight ahead!"
The island's silhouette became clearer as they approached, its shoreline was dotted with various different Pokemon and few trainers practicing with her partners. Palm trees swayed gently in the breeze, and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore reached their ears.
