chapter 34: Misty meets her match

After a another 2 mouths of traveling together Tracey caught himself a Scyther, Misty captured a Poliwag and Ash caught a Snorlax as well as reserved another orange league badge.

The group on the back of Ash's Lapras are riding towards Trovita island to reserve the next badge for the orange league.

On the vast blue seas, the group can be seen clinging onto Lapras as it swam through rough waters.

"Aaaiiee! Save meeee!!!" The girl shouted as she clung to a fainted Dewong in the waters struggling to swim.

"She's drowning!" Ash thinking quickly took out a Poke Ball and threw it out into the air releasing Pidgeot who swooped down and picked up the girl and her Dewong.

Now on the beach of Citrin island the girl nodded thankfully,"Thank you for rescuing me."

"Eh! All in a day's work kid!" Said Ash as he slung his jacket over his shoulder trying to look cool making Y/n and Misty sweat drop.
"Just don't fall for me. There's no rescuing you from that!"

"You're so pretty! My name's Mary! What's yours?" Asked Mary as she ran towards Misty completely ignoring Ash.

"? I'm Misty." Said Misty a little confused as Mary jumped up to her and hugged her tightly.

"Yay! Big sister Misty!" Said the girl excitedly making everyone confused.

"Big sister? What are you talking about?" Asked Tracey confused as the girl ran off dragging Misty behind her.

"You're coming to my house right now so I can thank you properly!"

At the entrance of the city the girl stopped giving the rest of the gang a chance to catch up to them.

A group of people can running towards Mary each one of them looking worried as a boy looking to be the same age as Y/n, Ash and Misty pushes his way through the crowd.

"Mary!" He shouted as he kneeled down and hugged Mary,"Mary! I told you never go swimming alone again!" He scolded as he pulled away from the hug.

"I know, I'm sorry. I just I want to catch a Pokemon and become a strong trainer like you." Mary said softly as she looked at the ground and the boy sighed

"It's okay, just don't to it again." The boy then stood up and turned to the group,"I'm guessing you're the people that saved my sister." He then bowed down.
"I'm very grateful to you. I can't thank you enough for saving her!"

"It's not problem, no need to thank me."Said Ash as the boy then walked towards Misty.

"May I ask your name?"

"My name's Misty." She introduced herself

"Misty. You're amazing." Said the boy flirting making the group confused at his sudden change in attitude.

He snaps his fingers and his friends all bring lovely bouquets of flowers to Misty.

The boy then kneels down and takes Misty's hand,
"Misty, it would give me great pleasure." He started as he takes Togepi from Misty's arms and gives it to Ash.

"Who does this guy think he is?" Asked Ash annoyed as if right on cue, the boy and Misty big to slow dance to music that the boy's friends are playing.

"What a weirdo." Y/n and Tracey though in unison as they sweatdroped.

"Misty, from the way you saved my sister, it's clear you're an excellent Pokemon trainer. There aren't any water type trainers as skilled as you are. I'd be very honored and very grateful if you could stay here for a while and instruct the trainers in my humble gym." Said the boy
