The boys cooked spaghetti for us. After we all ate I went upstairs to take a shower and get ready for bed. I was still coming down from my hangover, surprisingly. I don't think I had ever been so drunk before last night.
After my shower I changed into my pajamas and called my parents to catch them up on everything, minus the details about Nath. I wasn't ready to talk about that with them just yet. But I told them that everything was going great, the boys were already great friends and they made Steph and I feel right at home here. Then I called my sister and unleashed everything on her. Other than Steph, my older sister Maddie was my best friend, I told her everything.
She told me the exact same thing Stephanie did; to just go with the flow and keep it a secret so I don't get too exposed to the media.
"I really like him, Maddie." I told her through the phone.
"I'm glad! You deserve this, Abbey. And from what you've told me so far, he seems to really dig you." She replied.
"I think so too. I just hope everything doesn't take a turn for the worst."
"Don't worry about that. There's no point." She said.
"Alright. Well I'm gonna go to bed. I'll talk to you soon! Love you." I told her.
"Love you too, keep me updated." She had a playful tone to her voice.
I laughed and hung up the phone. Then I heard someone clear their throat and looked up to see Nathan standing at my door. "Jesus!" I exhaled. "You scared the shit out of me. You can't keep sneaking up on me like that Sykes." I said. Then I realized I still had my towel on my head. "Uhhh... hold on." I went to the bathroom to brush my wet hair out. "So how long were you standing there?" I asked him from the bathroom. He made his way over to my bed and sat down.
"Long enough to hear you say you really liked me." I could hear the smile in his voice.
I cleared my throat. "Did you now?"
"Mmmmhm." He said. He sounded pleased.
"Well... I do. I thought you knew that." He was in the bathroom with me now, standing behind me looking at me through the mirror.
"I didn't know you liked me that much." He said.
"Is that going to be a problem?" I asked.
"Not at all." Then he turned me around and kissed me hard. He pulled my body to his and kept me there. The kiss was long and passionate. His hands ran up and down my back while mine were tangled in his hair at the nape of his neck.
"Mmmm!" I made the sound while my lips were still glued to his. I pulled away then, "this is not what I meant by taking it slow, Nath." My breathing was heavy, but I still had a smile on my face.
"Sorry, couldn't help myself." He said. "Guess that means you don't want me to stay in here with you tonight?"
"I do, believe me. But..."
"Don't worry babe." He kept one hand around my waist but brought the other one up to caress my face and kissed my nose. "I understand." I smiled up at him. "Can I take you out to dinner tomorrow night?" He asked, pulling away.
"That sounds nice." I replied. "But what about the paparazzi?" I asked.
"I'm kind of a pro at getting by them. Don't worry." He reassured. "Get to sleep. We gotta start talking logistics about work tomorrow with the rest of the lads." He bent down to give me one more quick kiss on the lips and then left the room.
I went to bed smiling. I don't think I've ever smiled so much in my life, my cheeks were actually in pain.
The next morning my alarm woke me up around 10 AM. I walked out of my bedroom and the smell of bacon overwhelmed me, someone was cooking breakfast. I made my way over to Nathan's room and opened the door, he was still asleep so I ran and jumped on him.
