The rest of the day we all lounged around the house. I guess the boys were really taking in their time off before they had to get back to work. They had a video shoot coming up and had to record more for their next album along with doing shows.
The time for mine and Nathan's date was coming closer. I didn't know where he was taking me, he said it was a surprise. All he told me was to dress casual so I put on my dark skinny jeans, a white spaghetti strapped shirt with a royal blue cardigan over it, and my black converse. I wore my hair down and straightened with a grey beanie to top it all off. I indulged in my make up a little bit, I was really good at the smokey-eye effect so I played up my eyes a lot.
I grabbed my purse, turned off my light, and went downstairs where Nathan was waiting for me. "You look great." He said, looking at me smiling. He was wearing blue jeans, a plain dark grey t shirt, and white high top converse. He looked so hot.
"Right back at ya." I smiled. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and grabbed my hand to lead me outside.
We got in the car and started driving. "So you're really not gonna tell me where you're taking me?" I asked.
"Nope!" He smiled. About 10 minutes later we pulled up to a carnival on the beach. It was just like one of those you'd see in the movies.
"Nath I thought you said you were taking me to dinner!" I said looking out the window.
"I changed my mind. Figured this would be more fun." He smiled, grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the car. "You're not afraid are you?" He asked me teasingly.
"Are you kidding? No I love carnivals. But if I see a clown I'm bolting." He laughed at that. "I'm not kidding. Clowns terrify me." I said seriously.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you." He said, putting his arm around me as we walked toward the ticket booth. "Two please."
The carnival was packed. "So how do you plan on keeping away from the paparazzi in a place like this?" I asked him.
"Eh. They don't usually hang out at these kinds of places. They steer more toward the fancy restaurants and expensive places in town where celebs like to shop and whatnot." He explained.
"And what about the fans?" I asked.
"Those might be harder to get away from. But hopefully we won't have to deal with many of them." He said. Just then a group of four girls came up to him asking for pictures and autographs. He was so sweet to them, he even chatted with them for a bit. They didn't even notice me standing there. I guess they thought I was just another fan. I was a bit relieved they didn't ask who I was because I wasn't ready to deal with that just yet, mostly because I didn't know what I was to Nathan.
"Sorry about that." He said, once the girls walked away.
"Don't apologize, it's part of the job." I said.
Nathan's phone vibrated then, he pulled it out of his pocket to see who it was but he just ignored it and put it back in his pocket. "Shall we go ride the ferris wheel?" He asked me.
"I'm also terrified of heights, but since you're here I guess I can make an exception." I smiled at him. Just then a clown with green hair and a painted face jumped out at me. He was trying to be funny but me being scared of clowns screamed so loud I felt like the entire carnival stopped what they were doing and looked right at me. I turned to Nathan and buried my face in his chest and he put his arms around me.
"Go on! Get!" He said to the clown. I didn't turn around for another ten seconds, but when I did the clown was gone. "Jeez you weren't kidding." He said laughing.
