Seraphina's Pov
Naghintay kami maghapon kay Catalina kung papasok ba siya sa kahit isang subject namin pero wala kaming napala so we planned to check every departments faculty offices.
I am with Elijah ang Flynn, hindi namin kasama ang iba dahil pinapasok ko sila. I don't want the other students and professors to be suspicious. Baka tanungin kung bakit sabay sabay kaming wala sa klase.
"Where should we go first?" Tanong ni Elijah. Pinagigitnaan nila akong dalawa kaya para akong isang unano na kasama ng dalawang higante.
"Let's start with the Department of Arts and Letters." I suggested, wiping a sweat off my forehead. Grabe ang aga aga palang ang init na. "It's closest from here." Dagdag ko pa. Tahimik naman na naglahad si Flynn ng panyo kaya kinuha ko ito. To the rescue ko talaga ang lalakeng ito.
"Thank you." I secretly smelled it. Napangisi ako it smells like his natural scent.
We walked into the bilding, feeling the cool air from the AC wash over us. A student student assistant greeted us at the frot desk.
"Hi, excuse me." Elijah started, flashing his charming smile. Napataas ang kilay ko, si Elijah ba talaga ang kasama namin o si Arisson.
"We're looking for someone named Catalina. Do you know if she works in this Department?" Dagdag niya.
The Student assitant looked puzzled. "Catalina? I haven't heard of anyone by that name working here. But you can check with the department head."
"Thank you.. Saan yung office ng department head?" Tanong ko. He pointed the last door beside the stairs so we made our way there.
Kumatok ako sa pinto at dahan dahang binuksan. I saw a middle age woman wearing a glasses. She looked up from her papers as we entered.
"Can I help you?" She raised her eyebrow kaya pasimple kong siniko si Flynn sa likod niya signaling him to answer her.
"Yes ma'am." He said with his deep voice. "We're looking for someone named Catalina, we heard she might be working here." Kumunot ang noo ng babae.
"What's her surname?" Oh god! We don't know. Nagkatinginan kami ni Flynn.
Napalunok muna ako bago ko kinuha ang Cellphone sa aking bulsa. Ipinakita ko sa kanya ag picture ni Catalina.
"Hindi po namin alam ang apilido niya but that's her." Alanganing sagot ko. She briefly glance at the picture before she looked at us na parang nagdududa.
"Bakit niyo siya hinahanap? I can't just give you any information if you don't have any valid reason." Tama ako ng hinala kanina. Strikto siya!
Okay time to act!
"S-she's my mother ma'am.. She left me at the orphanage when I was a baby at gusto ko po siyang makilala." I did my best to look pitiful and I think it work because I saw her eyes twitched. She sighed heavily.
She frowned while staring at Catalina's picture saka umiling. "I'm sorry Iha pero hindi ko siya kilala. Maybe she's in a different department?" Tumango naman ako st ngumiti ng pilit.
"Sige po salamat."
"With that innocent face wala kang mapapaniwalang eksperto ka sa pagsisinungaling." Nang aasar na saad ni Elijah kaya sinipa ko ang binti niya. Narinig ko naman ang pagdaing niya kaya ngumisi ako.
"Meron ako Elijah kaya kung ayaw mong mapilay huwag mo akong simulan." I rolled my eyes bago siya lagpasan. Naramdaman ko naman ang prisensya ni Flynn na tumabi saakin sa paglalakad.
"That's my girl." Puri niya. I felt my cheeks heat up kaya siniko ko siya. Umagang umaga pinapabilis na naman niya ang tibok ng puso ko. I heard him chuckled pero hindi ko na siya pinansin.
