Seraphina's POV
Nasa isang park ako dito sa labas ng hotel. I was sitting on a bench, staring blankly at the moon. My memories from that place swirled in my mind, dark and suffocating. Hindi ko alam kung kaya ko bang tumapak ulit sa lugar na 'yon.
I heard light footsteps before I felt a presence beside me.
"Love," Flynn said gently. He sat down next to me, close enough to give me a sense of security.
"We need to go to that place. It's the only lead we have." Narinig ko ang malalim niyang buntong-hininga na tila ba nahihirapang magsalita.
"I know." My voice was barely a whisper. "Pero hindi ko alam kung kaya ko." His expression softened, and he reached out, gently taking my hand in his.
"I know it's hard but I'm here, love. You're not alone this time." Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.
"Baka makasakit ako, Flynn... ayaw ko nun." He squeezed my hand, his thumb gently caressing my knuckles.
"You are strong, my love, one of the strongest people I know. You've survived all of that, and you don't have to worry. I won't let you lose control, okay?" His voice was comforting.
I looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity there. It made me want to agree.
"How do you always know what to say?" I whispered, a small smile breaking through my tears. Ngumiti siya pabalik.
He brushed my tears away using his thumb gently.
"It's a gift," he said, leaning closer. "Plus, I care about you. More than you realize."
My heart skipped a beat, and I felt a warmth spread through me despite the cold fear gripping my chest.
"Thank you, Flynn. For everything." He pulled me into a hug, and I buried my face in his chest, taking comfort in his steady heartbeat.
"We'll get through this together, okay?" he murmured into my hair. I nodded.
Sana lagi ka na lang ganito. Sana hindi ka magbago. Sana ako na lang. Andaming sana na gusto kong matupad. Napangiti ako ng mapait, pero hanggang sana na lang dahil kahit ano man ang gawin, hindi ito kailanman matutupad.
I am falling so hard, Flynn... Hindi ko alam kung makakaahon pa ba ako. You made me depend too much on you. Hindi ko alam kung makakatayo pa ba ako sa sarili kong mga paa kung sakaling babagsak ako.
NAKATAYO kami ngayon sa harap ng napakapamilyar na lugar. A place that held so much dark memories.
"Ready?" Flynn asked, his voice steady but his eyes were filled with concern.
I nodded, taking a deep breath. "Let's get this over with." He smiled.
"Ito na ba 'yung lugar, Sera?" Tumango ako sa tanong ni Wendy.
The familiar musty smell hit me as we walked in. Napatigil ang ibang bata na naglalaro at pinanood kaming pumasok. Iginala ko ang aking mga mata, this place still looked the same. I clenched my fingers when my memories threatened to overwhelm me.
We approached the front desk where an elderly woman looked up. Tumama ang pamilyar niyang itim na mga mata sa akin. I saw how her forehead formed a line, trying to remember me.
I remained emotionless and calm while trying to quiet the rage that was boiling inside me. I felt Flynn take my trembling hand. Hindi ko alam pero kusa akong kumalma dahil sa ginawa niya.
"A-ano ang kailangan niyo?" she asked nervously. Panay ang sulyap niya sa akin.
"Hello po. Meron po bang nagngangalang Catalina na nakatira dito?" I'm grateful for what Elijah has done. Baka mabasag lang ang boses ko kapag ako ang nagsalita.
