The world teaches us that no one is equipped with the ability to always deal with things the right way because most of the time, there is no right way to deal with it. Maya didn't know how to deal with a drunk person until her best friend became an alcoholic. Abhir didn't know how to deal with loss until he lost his wife. People deal with situations the only way they understand them. It is not about doing it right but doing right by it. Atul learned to tend to wounds because Ketki got hurt often. Maya always carries hangover medicine because Akshay gets drunk often. Abhir regularly checks the packaged food at home because Aditya is sensitive to food poisoning. Nishant always gets home before 8 pm because his wife waits for him for dinner. It is the people around you and your circumstances that train you to live in a certain way but don't necessarily prepare you for everything, which is why Atul didn't know what was the right thing to do after learning the truth. To save Ketki against all odds? Or to control himself for her sake? Should he have not listened to Ketki that day when she pleaded with him to not go after the man who abused her? What was to say that if he dragged Rishab to jail that day, he wouldn't have only got out on bail due to lack of evidence but also could potentially put Aishwarya's custody at stake?

Atul and Abhir both listened to Ketki, but doing so left them with regrets and doubts. Abhir, after collecting the ashes of his sisters, hands it over to Atul and leaves for the hotel. The day passes and the next morning arrives. Abhir decides to leave for London, for which Aditya fought him tooth and nail, but Maya agreed. Abhir doesn't let on about how disturbed he is by Ketki's death but Maya can still see it. After a very long time, Maya saw her father fidget with his food, just like he used to when he missed his session with his therapist. He had long stopped taking his sessions as he got better, but the symptoms reappearing was not a good sign. That is why she didn't want Abhir to stay here in India, where he felt the least comfortable. In fact, Abhir almost convinced himself to stay back in India for a while, but Maya pushed him toward his decision. There was so much drama circling their family that Maya wanted to keep Abhir out of it. She doesn't want her father to get stuck in this family's affairs again and get hurt.

After staying for one more day, Amish, Maya, and Adi accompany Abhir to the airport. There is some visible tension between Amish and Abhir as the father and son barely exchange any words. Abhir tries to make a small conversation, but Amish remains curt with his answers and Abhir drops the topic. Abhir stayed in touch with Amish all along and they never had an issue, but Maya could see that Amish was not entirely over the fact that Abhir left him. It was Amish who chose to stay back when Abhir was leaving, but that was because Ms. Meenakshi had told him that doing so would make Abhir stay back. Her plan failed as Abhir didn't fall for the emotional drama so she went ahead and put the condition that he would have to leave Amish behind if he were to leave. Abhir had already made the decision that there was no way he was going to let Maya and Adi grow in this environment. He knew the moment he learned what Kuhu did that these two would always have to compete if they were to live here, but Amish was different because Meenaksi saw Amish as her heir and she would never risk it with Amish. So he took Maya and Adi with him because that was the only way they would never end up seeing each other as a competition.

When they get to the airport, Amish calls out to Abhir and walks towards him to give him a hug. It was so unexpected that Abhir froze for a second. As soon as he recovers from the sudden act of affection, he wraps his arms around his son. Amish knows that Abhir didn't choose Maya and Adi over him, he chose the path that left little room for a disaster. Amish only regrets ever trying to make Abhir choose between him and a better future for Maya and Adi. Even though the hug was awkward, they both smiled and said their byes. As she witnessed their interactions, Maya was certain that despite every barrier that time and distance had built between them, there was still hope for the father and son. It is true that when a relationship is forged through struggles, it has little room for distance. Time and space can't affect such relationships because they stand on the conviction of those who stand their ground, which is why Amish stood by his sister, whom he never even got to know, why Abhir decided to leave Amish with the family, why Amish chose to leave Aarti. It was because they trusted the other to never be wrong. It was their conviction in believing that the other would understand and stand by their side. Amish believed Maya had principles and that she would know what was right. Abhir believed that no amount of brainwashing could taint his son's concrete love for his family and that he would not be led astray by the manipulation of his grandmother. Amish believed that Aarti would not leave his side, not in the long run.

After Abhir's departure, Maya barely hangs on to the sanity she got left. She pushes herself to her maximum ability to stay calm and control her emotions, but all that goes down the drain the day Rishab is caught. A whole week after her Bua's death, Rishab was finally found couped up in an old run-down lodge. Maya couldn't stop herself from going to the station where he was put in jail and would be taken to court the next day. Maya walks into the station with heavy feet. She doesn't know what she is supposed to feel when facing the man responsible for Bua's death, she didn't have to as the police refused to let her see him. Since he is now suspected of murder, no one is allowed to visit him until the interrogation is done.

Not being able to meet him is actually a good thing because Maya doesn't trust herself to be civil with him. It would not be surprising if she gets violent. It took hours for the interrogation to be done and the statement to be processed and Maya sat on that chair with her legs crossed like her seat was burning, her expression grim and fists clenched. Her dominating presence is so strong that even the constable sitting across felt uncomfortable in his seat. She stares at the corridor coldly, waiting for anyone to emerge. After what feels like forever, the CI of the station finally emerges from the corridor with what looks like hesitation. Maya wonders what could possibly cause such an expression.
Despite waiting for so long for even the slightest of news, Maya doesn't get up immediately at the sight of the man. Instead, she pins him down with her cold stare, clearly showing just how much she despises having to wait. Maya realises that if she were not a part of the Rajvansh family, she would neither have the courage nor the privilege to be able to make the police feel small in her presence, but she would like to think that the respect and obligation she is being treated with has more to it than her being a Rajvansh.

The policeman clears his throat, repairing his posture to one of dominance, though it does nothing to faze Maya. He walks to the desk and takes a seat across from Maya.
"You seem rather cautious, Sir. Is there something I would want to know?" Maya, with her eyes trained on the policeman's face, asks in an emotionless tone.
"We got Mr. Rishab's statement, Ms. Rajvansh." Being called Ms. Rajvansh leaves a bitter taste on Maya's tongue, but she brushes the feeling aside and brazes herself for whatever the policeman is going to throw at her. "According to his statement, he allegedly learned of Ms. Ketki's location through Ms. Kuhu. We might need Ms. Kuhu to come to the station as well for further investigation." Maya's blood freezes at the police's words. Though there is not a single expression on her face, a whirlpool of hot blood rushes to her head as she stands with force, almost toppling off the chair she was sitting in. For days, no, almost a week, she had been piling up all her anger and grief, not knowing how to project them or where to. Now she knew just where she needed to go to let go. Every restraint that kept her from going insane broke loose at the knowledge of yet another betrayal. One that had been least expected and one she had underestimated. Maya is a doctor who is supposed to save lives, but she isn't sure today if she can stand by that vow.
