"Heeseung, don't you like Princess Hana? she's a nice girl, right??" Queen Lee asked her son with a beam on her face.

"yeah," Heeseung muttered under his breath, his tone clearly saying otherwise.

Princess Kim Hana was an alright princess, but like the others, she was very clingy, annoying, protective, loud, and Heeseung could go on and on rambling about the downsides of her. not wanting to hurt her feelings, of course, the young prince kept his feelings to himself.

"well you're going to get married to her, son," King Lee chuckled wholeheartedly, drinking another glass of wine.

Heeseung choked on his food as he gasped for breath. his older brother Heedo, who was next to him, patted him on the back.

"you alright there, Seung?" Heedo asked, chuckling, yet he understood why his little brother reacted like that. the older prince himself did not like Kim Hana that much either.

"thanks, hyung," Heeseung assured he was fine as he continued to cut into his steak, trying to ignore both his parents' conversations.

"so you're going to get married to her in a month, that's decided," Queen Lee squealed happily.

internally, Heeseung wanted to dig himself into a hole and die. his life felt rushed, forced and trapped, being controlled by his parents. his poor brother also fell in the same trap.

"Y/N! come on, we're going to meet my future husband!!!" Hana squealed happily, jumping around the room as the servants tried to calm her down and help finish her make-up.

"does he even love you though?" you remarked, not caring what your older sister said. sometimes, she was way too delusional for her own good.

"he does," Hana protested, "I can see in his eyes!!!"

"how can you tell how someone feel when you look in their eyes though?" you shrugged as you continued to read your book before Hana swatted it away.

"stop reading, Y/Nnie!" Hana complained, "you should come back to the world of princesses. we're only supposed to dress pretty, marry, and have children. what would Mother and Father say again?"

"I don't care," you huffed, "these standards are outlandish."

"not you and you complicated words again?" Hana rolled her eyes as she finally stood still, allowing the servants to help her with her make-up, "hopefully, you won't give Heeseung a bad first impression."

"this man surely is special in your life alright," you drawled, having enough of your sister's antics.

"he's so handsome, polite, kind, modest, is a whole gentleman---" Hana started to ramble.

"that's good for you," your voice held nothing but sarcasm, "now when are we actually heading to the palace?"
