When you both were secretly dating.

You and your PROMISE members were in the practice room after a roaring practice session, filling up on water. Lina was talking to you about her high school crush, but all you could think about was Heeseung's lingering gaze on you. You and Heeseung were secretly dating, and you both knew your members were getting suspicious. To avoid raising any more eyebrows, you and Heeseung agreed to limit your interactions to just saying hi.

Just then, Jake's voice cut through the chatter, "Heeseung, why are you so quiet today?"

You ignored the conversation and took a sip of your water. Heeseung's response was calm, "I'm fine."

Jay smirked and nudged Jake, "Maybe it won't be a problem for Jake to do what he's wanted to do for years now."

You continued drinking your water, pretending not to hear, until Heeseung asked, "What?"

You nearly choked when Jake said, "To ask Y/N out."

Your members smirked, and you tried to keep your cool, but Heeseung's stern face made it difficult.

"But first, I have to ask her opinion," Jake said, turning towards you. "Y/N, do you want to go out with me?"

You froze, eyes darting to Heeseung for a split second before looking at Jake. "Uh, Jake, I-"

Before you could finish, Heeseung chimed in, his expression hardening. "Jake, that's not a good idea."

Jake raised an eyebrow, looking amused. "And why not, Heeseung? It's not like she has a boyfriend."

Heeseung cleared his throat, trying to keep his cool. "Well, Y/N is very busy right now. We have a lot of schedules and practices coming up."

You nodded quickly. "Yeah, Jake, I'm really swamped with PROMISE stuff. I don't think I have time for dating."

Jake looked skeptical. "Come on, everyone has some free time. How about just one date?"

Jungwon, sensing the tension, chimed in with a smirk. "Yeah, Heeseung, why are you so against Jake asking Y/N out?"

Sunoo joined in, grinning mischievously. "Is there something you're not telling us, Heeseung?"

Heeseung's jaw tightened as he tried to come up with a response. "I just think it's important to stay focused on our work."

Ni-ki, always one to stir the pot, added, "Or maybe Heeseung is just jealous?"

Heeseung glared at Ni-ki, but before he could say anything, Sunghoon spoke up, "Come on, Heeseung. Spill the beans. Why can't Jake ask Y/N out?"

Feeling cornered, Heeseung tried one last time to deflect. "It's not about jealousy. It's about professionalism. We all need to stay focused."
