THIS IS BOOK 2. So, if you haven't read the first imagines book, I suggest you read it!
You were sitting on the couch of the dressing room, scrolling through new designs you wanted to try out, when your friend, Hana, came in. "Hey, you're assigned to Heeseung today. He's going to be here any moment."
You rolled your eyes and groaned, "Why Heeseung? He's so tall, and I can barely reach him without a stepping stool. And to make it worse, you know I have a crush on him."
Hana smiled mischievously, "You can't change this time. Orders are orders."
You tried to negotiate, "How about I style Jungwon or Sunoo instead?"
She shook her head firmly, "Nope. Have fun!" She left the room with a teasing smirk.
You sighed and started preparing your kit, feeling the butterflies in your stomach already. Just then, the door opened, and Heeseung walked in, looking handsome as ever in his casual yet stylish outfit.
"Hey, are you doing my hair and makeup today?" he asked, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
You nodded, muttering silently so he couldn't hear, "Unfortunately."
Dragging the step stool to where he was standing, you climbed up to meet his beautiful bambi eyes. Heeseung smirked a little, making you look away quickly, pretending to search for the perfect brush.
You started doing his makeup, silently admiring his features as you did. His eyes were closed, and you caught yourself smiling. Unexpectedly, he smiled too, sensing your gaze.
"What's so funny?" he asked, eyes still closed.
You stuttered, "N-nothing. Just... thinking."
He raised an eyebrow, "Thinking about what?"
Before you could answer, the door opened, and Hana came in again, giving you a sly smirk. "Did I leave my kit here?" she asked innocently.
You shook your head, concentrating on finishing the task quickly. Suddenly, the stool wobbled slightly, and you lost your balance. With a yelp, you fell right into Heeseung's arms. His arms secured around your waist, holding you steady.
"I'm so sorry!" you exclaimed, trying to stand back up, cheeks burning with embarrassment.
Heeseung chuckled softly, "No worries. Are you okay?"
You nodded, glaring at Hana, who left the room smiling. You bowed to Heeseung, "Thank you. I should get back to work."
As you turned to leave, Heeseung caught your wrist gently, "Wait."
You turned back, heart racing, "Yes?"
"Why were you so upset about doing my makeup?" he asked, genuinely curious.
You hesitated, then sighed, "It's not that I'm upset. It's just... you're really tall, and I always need a stepping stool. It's a bit embarrassing."
Heeseung laughed softly, "I never thought of it that way. Sorry for being tall."
You couldn't help but smile at his playful tone, "It's not your fault. I'm just short."
He released your wrist and leaned against the counter, "You did a great job, by the way. I love your work"
"Thank you," you said, feeling a bit more relaxed.
Heeseung tilted his head, "So, why did you say 'unfortunately' earlier?"
Your face heated up again about him hearing that too, "Uh, just... nervous, I guess."
Heeseung's eyes twinkled with amusement, "Nervous? Around me?"
You nodded shyly, "A little."
Heeseung's playful smirk returned, "You know, you don't have to be nervous. I'm just a regular guy."
You laughed softly, "A regular guy who happens to be an amazing performer and incredibly handsome."
He pretended to be modest, "Well, when you put it that way..."
You both laughed, the tension easing between you. Heeseung then asked, "Would you like to grab a coffee after this? As a thank you for saving me from a potentially makeup-less performance."
Your eyes widened in surprise, "Really? I mean, I'd love to."
"Great," he said, his smile genuine. "It's a date, then."
You blushed furiously, "A date?"
Heeseung winked, "Well, a friendly date. Unless you want it to be more?"
You stammered, "I-I think a friendly date is a good start."
He nodded, "Perfect. I'll meet you after the show."
As you finished the final touches on his makeup, you couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Maybe falling into Heeseung's arms wasn't such a bad thing after all.
The door opened once more, and Jungwon peeked in, "Heeseung, we're needed on stage in five."
Heeseung nodded, then turned to you, "See you later?"
You smiled, "See you later."
As he left the room, you felt a warm glow inside. Who knew that a little stumble could lead to something so promising?
