You sat comfortably on the couch, a bowl of popcorn in your lap, your eyes glued to the TV screen as your favorite K-drama unfolded. It was one of those classic romantic scenes—the kind where the couple ended up on the couch together, the tension in the air so thick you could practically feel it through the screen. The male lead moved closer to the female lead, teasing her with his nearness, his soft laughter making her heart flutter as she tried to play it cool. You couldn't help but smile uncontrollably at how cute it was.
Beside you, Heeseung sat quietly, his eyes glancing between you and the TV. You didn't notice the small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as you continued to watch, completely absorbed by the scene. It wasn't just the drama that had you smiling like that. There was something about romantic couch moments—how intimate, playful, and charged they could be—that made your heart race.
Unbeknownst to you, Heeseung had picked up on your reaction. He shifted a little closer to you on the couch, his eyes now fully focused on you instead of the TV. You were still engrossed in the scene when suddenly, you felt his presence right beside you. His body heat radiated toward you, making you realize how close he had gotten. When you turned your head to look at him, you were startled to find him smirking at you, his face only inches away.
"What's so funny?" His voice was low, teasing, as he glanced at the TV and then back at you, eyes twinkling with amusement.
You swallowed hard, trying to compose yourself. "N-Nothing. It's just... a cute scene, that's all."
His smirk deepened. "Cute, huh?" He leaned back slightly, giving you just a bit of space, but his gaze remained locked on yours. "You seem to like those kinds of scenes a lot," he commented, the teasing tone in his voice unmistakable.
You felt your cheeks heat up. "Well, it's romantic," you said defensively, trying not to let him see how flustered you were. "The way they get all close, and... you know... play around with the tension."
Heeseung hummed thoughtfully, clearly amused by your embarrassment. "Tension, huh?"
Before you could answer, he leaned in even closer, his hand brushing lightly against your knee as he shifted toward you on the couch. The proximity immediately sent a jolt of nerves through your body. His eyes locked with yours, and the teasing glint in them told you exactly what he was thinking.
"I think we can do better than them," he murmured, his voice soft but filled with playful intent. You blinked in surprise. "Wait, what do you mean by that?"
A small chuckle escaped his lips as he leaned in just enough that his shoulder brushed against yours, making your pulse quicken. "What? You don't think we could pull off something like that?" His words were teasing, but there was a certain challenge in his tone, a dare that made your breath hitch.
You were suddenly hyper-aware of how close he was. His scent, the warmth of his body, the way his eyes never left yours—it was all so much. You tried to play it cool, shaking your head. "Heeseung, it's just a drama."
He grinned, leaning back against the couch cushions casually, though he was still far too close for comfort. "Sure, it's just a drama, but I noticed how much you were smiling at that scene." He gave you a playful nudge. "Come on, admit it. You were enjoying it."
You rolled your eyes, trying to mask how flustered you were. "I like romantic scenes. What's the big deal?"
Heeseung's smirk softened slightly as his hand reached out, gently brushing a stray strand of hair behind your ear. The simple touch sent a shiver down your spine. "You like romantic scenes," he repeated softly, his voice low. "So... what if we tried recreating one?"
Your eyes widened, unsure of whether he was joking or not. "Heeseung..."
He leaned in, the playful glint in his eyes now mixed with something else—a hint of curiosity, maybe even a bit of desire. His hand slid from your knee to your waist, his fingers just barely grazing your side as he leaned his face closer to yours. The air between you seemed to flicker with electricity, and for a moment, all you could do was stare at him.
He was teasing you, sure, but there was something undeniably real about the way he was looking at you right now.
"Come on, just a little," he whispered, his lips just barely inches from yours. "What's the harm in a little fun?"
Your heart was pounding in your chest as you tried to think of a response, but the closeness of him—his body against yours, his breath fanning your cheek—was making it hard to concentrate. You wanted to say something, anything, but before you could, he suddenly pulled back, laughing softly.
"Look at you," he teased, grinning like a child who had just pulled off a perfect prank. "You're all flustered. I didn't even do anything."
You let out a breath you didn't realize you'd been holding, your heart still racing from how close he had been. "You're such a tease," you muttered, crossing your arms and trying to regain some composure.
Heeseung chuckled, leaning back against the couch with a satisfied grin. "I guess I am, but you seemed to like it." He shot you a knowing look, clearly enjoying the fact that he had rattled you.You turned your head away, your face still hot with embarrassment. "You're impossible."
Heeseung's laughter filled the room, but despite his teasing, there was a warmth in his gaze that lingered as he looked at you. It wasn't just about teasing anymore—there was something else behind those eyes, something softer and more genuine.
"Hey," he said after a moment, his voice softer now. "I was just kidding, but..." He hesitated for a second, his fingers brushing yours. "If you ever want to... you know, try something like that, just let me know."
You glanced at him, surprised by the sudden sincerity in his voice. There was no smirk, no teasing look this time. Just Heeseung, sitting there beside you, his hand resting gently over yours.
Your heart fluttered at his words, but instead of responding, you gave him a small smile. "Maybe," you said, your voice barely above a whisper.
Heeseung grinned, his playful nature returning as he leaned back with a shrug. "Just remember, I'm always ready for a couch scene."
You smack him in the arm.
