When he's too cute for his own good.
You could never get used to it, no matter how many times you tried. Being in a relationship with Lee Heeseung, your idol boyfriend, felt like a dream you didn't want to wake up from. But it wasn't just because of his status or how much everyone adored him. It was something else entirely.
It was the way he did the simplest, most unaware things that could make your heart skip a beat.Heeseung was sprawled across your couch, scrolling through his phone while waiting for you to finish making popcorn for your movie night. His hair fell messily across his forehead, and his lips—those ridiculously soft lips—were pulled into a tiny pout as he concentrated on whatever video he was watching.
That pout. It was always there when he was focused.
You bit your lip to keep from smiling too widely. He looked exactly like a deer—no, a bambi. All wide-eyed innocence and soft, boyish charm that made him look a lot younger than he was.
How can someone this cute exist? you thought to yourself.
Carrying the popcorn over to the living room, you plopped down next to him. "Whatcha watching?" you asked, casually leaning closer to sneak a peek at his phone.
Heeseung blinked those large, doe-like eyes at you before quickly turning his phone off and shoving it in his pocket. "Nothing important," he mumbled, eyes shifting away.
You raised an eyebrow, immediately suspicious. "Oh really? What was it? Another compilation of you looking cute on stage? Pouting at the fans? Blinking rapidly like a lost puppy?"
Heeseung's eyes widened in genuine surprise at your teasing, and he quickly shook his head. "What? No, no! I wasn't—"
But you weren't done. The opportunity was just too perfect to pass up.
"And don't even get me started on how you act in your V-Lives. You're always pouting at the camera or blinking like you're confused. You really have no idea, do you?" you teased, leaning your elbow on his shoulder as you gave him a playful smirk.
Heeseung narrowed his eyes at you, lips forming that familiar little pout again—one that he always made when he was pretending to be annoyed. It was honestly more adorable than intimidating.
"I don't pout," he muttered defensively, turning away from you like he was trying to hide the very pout that was forming. "You're making that up."
You laughed, poking his cheek. "You just did it, Heeseung. See? Right there. You're pouting! You can't even stop it."
Heeseung groaned, his face turning red as he tried to hide his embarrassment. "I'm not pouting!" he argued, but his voice cracked slightly, making him sound even more adorable.
You laughed harder, leaning back against the couch. "Oh my god, you're like a real-life bambi. I swear, every time you do stuff like that, I'm just waiting for someone to come along and adopt you as their pet deer."
