When you pretend to be his girlfriend.

You leaned back against the chair, staring blankly at your phone screen. The coffee shop buzzed around you, but all you could think about was the strange request Heeseung had made earlier in the day. Pretending to be his girlfriend? What was he thinking?

Just as your thoughts began to spiral, the door chimed. You looked up, and there he was—Lee Heeseung, smiling that ridiculously charming smile of his as he walked toward you.

"Hey," he greeted, sliding into the seat across from you. "Thanks for coming. I know this is... kinda weird."

You raised an eyebrow, trying to hide your nerves. "Kinda weird? Heeseung, you want me to pretend to be your girlfriend for this dinner. It's not just 'kinda' weird. It's super weird."

Heeseung chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I know, I know. But my family keeps asking me about dating, and I may or may not have told them I had a girlfriend... and now they want to meet you."

Your eyes widened. "Wait, you told them I was your girlfriend?"

Heeseung nodded, a hint of embarrassment creeping into his expression. "Yeah... you were the first person who came to mind. You know, because we're close and all. I trust you."

You couldn't help but feel a small flutter in your chest at his words, but you quickly brushed it off. This was all just an act, after all.

"So, when is this dinner?" you asked, trying to sound casual even though your heart was racing.

"Tonight."

"Tonight?!" you nearly shouted, eyes wide. "Heeseung, are you serious? I thought we had time to prepare or something!"

He grinned sheepishly. "Well... surprise?"

You groaned, burying your face in your hands. "I can't believe I agreed to this."

"Come on, it won't be that bad," Heeseung reassured you. "Just be yourself, and it'll be fine."

You looked up at him, narrowing your eyes. "Be myself? I'm supposed to pretend I'm your girlfriend. That's not being myself."

He laughed softly. "Okay, maybe tweak your 'self' a little. But we've hung out so much, it won't be hard to fake chemistry. Just follow my lead."

You exhaled deeply, trying to steady your nerves. "Fine. But if this blows up, I'm blaming you."

Later that evening, you stood outside a cozy-looking restaurant, feeling both nervous and oddly excited. Heeseung was beside you, looking calm and collected as ever, though you could tell by the way he adjusted his collar that he was just as nervous.
