When you were stuck in the elevator with your enemy.
It was just another day at work when your worst nightmare came true. You found yourself standing in front of the elevator, ready to leave after a long day, only to see the one person you hoped to avoid — Heeseung. You sighed, and he smirked, knowing exactly how much you disliked him. His confidence and smug attitude always made your blood boil.
"Going down?" he asked, holding the elevator door open for you.
"I'd rather take the stairs," you muttered, but as you heard your co-workers chattering loudly behind you, you decided to swallow your pride. "Fine," you grumbled, stepping into the small space.
The elevator doors closed, and silence filled the air. You could practically feel Heeseung's amusement radiating off him. He stood there, leaning casually against the wall with a stupid grin on his face.
"What's with the face? Did you smell something bad?" he teased, and you rolled your eyes.
"Yeah, I did. Must be your cologne," you shot back with a smirk.
Heeseung chuckled. "Sharp tongue as always, Y/N. Is this how you flirt?"
"Flirt? With you?" You snorted. "I'd rather eat expired ramen."
Just as Heeseung was about to retort, the elevator jerked violently, making you stumble. The lights flickered before the entire thing came to a sudden stop. You both grabbed onto the handrails for balance, eyes wide in panic.
"Seriously? We're stuck?" you groaned, pressing the emergency button repeatedly. Nothing happened.
"Relax. Panicking isn't going to help," Heeseung said, surprisingly calm.
"Who's panicking? I'm not panicking. You're panicking!" you snapped back, obviously panicking. He raised an eyebrow at your outburst and let out a soft laugh.
"Sure, okay."
You took a deep breath and tried to calm yourself. "Alright, let's just call for help." You pulled out your phone, and Heeseung did the same. "No signal," you muttered.
"Same here," he replied, waving his phone around like it would magically connect. "Guess we'll be here for a while."
You groaned and slumped against the wall. "Great, just great. Stuck in an elevator with Lee Heeseung, of all people. What did I do to deserve this?"
Heeseung grinned. "Maybe the universe is trying to tell you something."
"Yeah, it's telling me I have terrible luck."
Minutes passed in awkward silence. You tried to ignore Heeseung, but he was humming some random tune and tapping his foot. You glared at him. "Can you stop that?"
"What, does my humming bother you?"
"Yes, actually," you said, crossing your arms.
