When he bribes you with chocolate.

You sat comfortably on your bed, legs crossed as you read 'Better than the Movies' on your laptop. The story was getting good, and you were completely absorbed in it until you felt a presence next to you. You glanced sideways to see Heeseung sitting there, looking down at his lap, lost in thought.

"Hey," you said, your voice breaking the silence. "Do you want to tell me something?"

Heeseung looked up, his eyes meeting yours. "Yeah, actually."

"Spill it," you said, instantly regretting your words when you saw the mischievous glint in his eyes.

"There's a party tonight," he began, "and I want you to go with me."

You sighed, shaking your head. "Heeseung, you know I don't like parties. I never have."

"I know," he replied, a hint of a pout forming on his lips. "But I don't like being without you, especially at parties where girls keep flirting with me."

"You'll survive," you said with a playful smirk. "Besides, I have a slight headache."

Heeseung rolled his eyes. "You've used that excuse way too many times. You need to be more innovative with your excuses."

You crossed your arms, challenging him. "Give me one good reason why I should go."

"To be with me," he said, a hopeful smile on his face.

You couldn't help but smile back, but you shook your head. "Not good enough."

Heeseung furrowed his brows, thinking hard. Suddenly, his face lit up. "I'll give you chocolates."

Your eyes sparkled with excitement, but you quickly masked it. "I hate chocolates."

Heeseung raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. "Says the huge stash of chocolates you have under the bed."

You widened your eyes in shock. "How do you know about my stash?"

He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Did you really think I was sleeping while you dragged that box out, opened the wrappers, and munched away?"

You felt your cheeks heat up in embarrassment. "You were supposed to be asleep!"

Heeseung chuckled, his breath tickling your ear. "I guess I'm a light sleeper when it comes to my girlfriend's secret chocolate stash."

You glared at him playfully. "Okay, fine. You got me. I love chocolates. But there's still no way I'm going to another party."

Heeseung's eyes twinkled with mischief as he pulled out a small box of your favorite chocolates from his pocket. "What if I sweeten the deal?"

You eyed the chocolates, your resolve wavering. "Heeseung, you can't just bribe me with chocolate every time."

He grinned, popping open the box to reveal the decadent treats. "But it works, doesn't it?"You bit your lip, trying to stay strong. "It's not fair."

"Life's not fair," he said, leaning even closer until your noses almost touched. "But I promise it'll be fun. And I'll make sure no one bothers you."

You sighed, knowing you were about to give in. "Fine. But if I get bored, we're leaving early."

Heeseung's face lit up with a victorious smile. "Deal."

He handed you a chocolate, and you took it, savoring the rich taste. "You know, you really shouldn't have found out about my stash. Now you'll use it against me."

Heeseung laughed, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "It's a fair trade. Your chocolates for my sanity at parties."

You leaned into him, feeling content despite the upcoming party. "You better be worth it."

Heeseung kissed the top of your head. "I promise I will be."

You both settled back into a comfortable silence, the chocolates now between you as a sweet reminder of your compromise. As you returned to your book, Heeseung stayed close, his presence a comforting assurance that, no matter what, you two were in this together—even if it meant enduring another party.
