Drunk Call

When you drunk call him.

You had just finished a night out with your friends—celebrating someone's birthday, if you remembered correctly. Everything had been a blur of loud music, clinking glasses, and laughter. But now, you were making your way home, swaying slightly as you walked down the sidewalk, still buzzed from the drinks you'd had earlier. Your phone felt heavy in your hand, the screen lighting up with Heeseung's contact name.

For some reason, even though you were almost home, you felt a sudden urge to hear his voice. So, without thinking too much about it, you tapped his name and brought the phone to your ear, hearing it ring.

"Hey, baby. You on your way home?" His voice came through the speaker, smooth and soft like always.

"Hi, Hee!" you exclaimed, your words a little louder than usual, "I'm coming home! But... but I miss you!"

There was a short pause before you heard him chuckle. "Miss me, huh? You've only been gone for a few hours, love."

"I knoooow," you whined, drawing out the word as you stopped at the corner of the street, waiting for the light to turn green. "But I miss you right now. Like... a lot."

Heeseung's laughter on the other end of the line made your heart do a little flip, though you were too tipsy to really process the feeling. "How much did you drink?" he asked playfully.

"Umm," you started, trying to count in your head, but the numbers got fuzzy. "Just a little," you lied, holding up your fingers even though he couldn't see you.

"Right," Heeseung responded, amusement clear in his voice. "So just 'a little' means what, exactly?"

You pouted, even though you knew he couldn't see that either. "I had... um, a few drinks. But I'm not that drunk," you assured him, stumbling a bit as you took a step forward. The light had turned green, but your feet weren't quite following your brain's instructions.

Heeseung must have heard the wobble in your voice because his tone became a little more serious. "Are you walking home alone? Where are you right now?"

"Noooo," you drawled, "I'm close! Don't worry, Hee. I'm almost home. And I'm not alooone—I have you!" You giggled at your own words, feeling proud of yourself for making the connection.

"Ah, right. I'm your company," he said with a grin you could hear. "But seriously, babe, stay on the phone with me, okay? I don't want you tripping over yourself before you even make it to the door."

You took a deep breath, trying to focus on his voice. "I'm not tripping! I'm walking perfectly... perfectly fine." To prove it, you started walking faster, only to stumble again and let out a small yelp as you caught yourself on a nearby pole.

"Yeah, you sound so 'perfectly fine,'" Heeseung teased, laughing softly into the phone. "Want me to come pick you up? I can be there in five minutes."

"Noooo," you protested quickly, feeling your cheeks warm up. "I'm almost there, promise!" You glanced around, recognizing the buildings on your street. "I see our place now! I just wanted to hear your voice... and tell you that I love you."
