Detective Rodgers opened the door to the entrance of the FBI headquarters for Trinity. She entered and he followed her in.

"Just follow my lead. Alright?" he whispered.

"Got it," replied Trinity.

After going through security, they walked up to the receptionist desk. The young receptionist noticed them and greeted them.

"Hello. How can I assist you?"

"Hello, I'm Detective Rodgers from the Seattle FBI branch. I'm here for some training." He glanced over at Trinity. "This is my daughter. She is doing a school report on the FBI so I brought her with me so she could see the headquarters."

"I see. Let me just get you checked in."

The receptionist began typing away at her keyboard. After a few moments, she looked up at him. "You are all checked in. I just need you and your daughter to sign this visitor form." She pushed a piece of paper and a silver pen in front of them. They both signed it.

"Great. You're good to go."

"Thank you," said Detective Rodgers.

The two of them began to walk away, walking past her desk towards a hallway.

"Wait a second."

They froze in their tracks, anxiety rushing through the both of them.

"I forgot to give your daughter her visitor badge."

They relaxed. For a moment, they thought the woman was on to them. They returned to her, got the visitor badge and walked away.

"She scared the shit out of me," said Trinity under her breath.

"Me too," replied Detective Rodgers, putting the badge in his back pocket. "I thought she was going to kick us out." He lead her down several hallways before speaking again. "Okay, here's what I need you to do. I need you to hide in the bathroom at the end of this hall and wait. I'm going to cause a distraction."

"What kind of distraction?"

"I'm going to trigger the fire alarm. It's the easiest way I can think of to get almost everyone out of the building. There will still be some security but it should be sparse. Once it looks clear, I'll come get you."

"Okay. Just be careful. Don't get caught."

"I won't. They trust me. Now go."

Trinity nodded and hurried down the hall. At the end, like he had said, were men and women's bathrooms. She entered the women's and hid inside a stall.

Detective Rodgers walked the opposite way. At the end of the hall was a fire alarm on the wall. He glanced around quickly, making sure no one was coming, and triggered the alarm. He walked back towards the entrance and observed from behind a corner, checking to see if the building was being evacuated. It was. Floods of workers were exiting the building. After a few minutes, mostly everyone appeared to be out besides a few security guards standing near the entrance. Believing that now was the time, he took off towards the bathrooms where Trinity was, being careful as he rounded every corner of each hall.

He reached the bathrooms. He opened the door to the women's and poked his head in.

"Trinity? Come on, it's clear."

Trinity came out of the stall. She hurried over to him and left the bathroom. They began to speed walk down the hallway.

"Ummm...I didn't want to mention it before but, what about the cameras? There's cameras everywhere. Can't they see us?"

He forced a laugh. "Yeah, they can see us."

"What?! Isn't that a bad thing?"

"They won't be able to stop us fast enough."

"But won't they catch us after the fact? We will go to jail!"

"No, we won't. Or at least you won't."

"Ummm, what do you mean by that?"

He sighed. "We aren't both getting out of this. But I am going to make sure that you and Nicole do."

Trinity stopped and looked at him, flabbergasted. "No. I'm not going to leave you behind. They will kill you. Or torture you until you tell them what they want to know."

"Trinity, this is not the time to argue. We need to hurry. We don't have much time. Come on, let's get to the elevator."

When she did not move, he grabbed her by her arm and began to run. She was forced to follow. They went to the elevator at the end of the hall. He pressed the down button and they waited anxiously for it to come. When it finally did, they got in. He pressed a button in the elevator with the letter E on it.

They were both quiet as the elevator descended. However, their minds were racing. Detective Rodgers was thinking about how insane this whole situation was. He was trying to help a nice girl save her best friend from an insane, mythical creature. It sounded like something out of a sci-fi movie or book. Meanwhile, Trinity was thinking about what he had said a little bit ago. She was not going to leave him behind, in the clutches of the authorities. He had been so kind and helpful to her. He was like a father to her.

They finally reached their floor, floor E. The elevator doors opened. Trinity was confused. Before them was a short hall. At the end of the hall was a grey metal door. They left the elevator and walked up to the door. She noticed a small keypad beside the door. Detective Rodgers took a step towards it and quickly input a four digit number. The door immediately opened.

"Come on, we're running out of time," said Detective Rodgers, stepping inside the room. She followed behind him.

The room they entered was enormous. The walls were made of shiny metal. All around the room were various contraptions that Trinity could not identify. In the center of the room, however, was something that caught her eye the most. There was a large, tall, glass cylinder. On the side of it, appeared to be a glass door. A few feet away to the right of it was what appeared to be a control panel.

"Woah..." Trinity said in awe. "This is absolutely nuts!"

"Over here." Detective Rodgers went to the machine.

Trinity trailed behind him, still baffled by everything around her. "How does this thing even work?"

"It's a teleporter. The general gist is you input where you want to go on the control panel, get inside the tube and it will take you there."

"Will it take me to Asgard?"

"It should. I know they were experimenting on taking it to other worlds and universes."

Trinity went to the control panel and began to observe it closely. "Then let's do this."
