The week leading up to the wedding was a whirlwind of activity. The palace was a hive of preparation, with staff members and officials working tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect for the grand event.
"I can't believe it's finally happening," a voice muttered as she nervously bit on her fingernails, a habit she had just now learnt was her way of dealing with stress.
"What if this is not the right choice? What if after everything is the marriage fizzles out to prove it was the wrong choice?" A male voice exasperated as he sat at the couch, his head in his hands.
Surprisingly, instead of the actual pair getting married, the two who were actually experiencing the wedding jitters were the aides of the infamous pair.
Charlotte had been Jennie's confidante and support for years, while Liam had been Taehyung's right-hand man, managing his schedule and ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Both were integral to the lives of the soon-to-be-wedded couple, and as the wedding day approached, they found themselves drawn into the whirlwind of emotions surrounding the event.
Charlotte paced the length of her room, wringing her hands nervously. She had always prided herself on her composure, but the magnitude of the upcoming wedding was starting to weigh heavily on her.
"I can't believe it's finally happening," she muttered to herself. "They are getting married. Everything needs to be perfect."
Liam sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I mean, the political implications of this marriage are huge. There are so many expectations and pressures. Sometimes I wonder if they're actually making the right choice for everything."
"Didn't you push them into this?!" Charlotte pointed an accusing finger to the man who spluttered for a moment.
"W-well! Yes-but that was because he looked so miserable when she was about to get engaged. I just made him realize what he was feeling! But what if....that wasn't the right choice.." Liam groaned, frustratedly messing up his hair.
"Now you question it?! Couldn't this realization have come, I don't know, before the engagement?!" Charlotte huffed as she sat next to Liam.
Liam turned to her, desperation flashing in his eyes. "It's just... what if they end up resenting each other? What if this whole royal marriage is more of a political alliance than a love story? Look at their families—everyone expects a fairytale ending, but this is real life! Marriage is hard work!"
Charlotte sighed deeply, the weight of his concerns echoing the fears swirling in her own mind. "I get it, trust me. I've been feeling the same way. It's not just about the grandeur of a wedding; it's about the day-to-day reality afterward. They both have such different expectations. What happens when the honeymoon phase wears off?"
"We're basically setting them up to either live their best lives or be thrust into an unwanted drama," Liam groaned, burying his face in the cushions.
Charlotte exhaled through gritted teeth. "You realize that if we're worried, it's only going to compound their jitters, right? We have to find a way to be supportive, not stress-induced alarm bells!"
