Blythe

I am finishing up for the night. We sent the team home a couple of hours ago because they have been working so hard recently. Kade is in his office on a call with someone. I am in the conference room, packing everything up. We still have work to do, but it can wait until tomorrow. I am exhausted tonight, more than usual. All I want is a good meal, a shower and then my bed.

I hear Kade return. I have no idea who he was talking with, and it is none of my business. Since no one else is here, I know it is him. The cleaners don't come in until tomorrow morning. His arms come around me from behind.

"Can I help you?" I ask.

His warm lips fall on my neck. I moan, tilting my head to the side, allowing him better access. He uses it to his advantage; not like I mind.

"Can I take you out for dinner?" he mumbles against my skin.

A soft whimper comes from my lips, "Mmm, I could eat."

"Me too. Then maybe back to mine for dessert?"

He runs one of his hands downwards and onto my ass, swatting it.

"I could maybe be talked into it. I will see how I feel."

Yes, I am exhausted, but it doesn't mean I can't make time for passionate sex. I didn't get it last night because my sister showed up, but he has hopefully made her get the hint to leave him alone. Good sex always helps you sleep better, anyway.

"Yes, ma'am." He chuckles and turns me around to face him.

"Where are you taking me?"

"I was thinking Greek or Indian?" he suggests.

I take a moment to think, "Greek sounds good. I haven't had it in a while."

He nods, "Then Greek it is."

He pulls me tightly against him and reaches down, crashing his lips to mine. I groan and slip my arms around his neck, kissing back. He presses my back against the table. It doesn't take long for things to become heated.

I place my hand on his chest, putting a distance between us. "Food first. I am so hungry."

We have been so busy today; I haven't eaten since breakfast. I don't think he has either. We have been fuelling ourselves with caffeine.

He groans, "Fine. Food first."

I chuckle and pat his cheek. "You can wait another hour."

"I am sure I can. Ready to leave?"

I nod and we make our way out. When I step outside, I notice a familiar car across the road. Is she serious right now?

"We need to head separately."

"Why? We are going to the same place. I could bring you back for your car." He asks, confused.

"Because my sister is sitting across the street in her car."

"What? You are joking, right?"

Shaking my head, I let out a sigh. "I wish I were. I am sorry, Kade."

She is such an embarrassment at times. I would never dream of doing this to someone.

"Is this what I have to look forward to?"

"I hope not. Do you want me to go and say something to her?"

She better not start stalking him like a fucking crazy person. If she does, I will be saying something to her.

He sighs and shakes his head. "No, leave it. Let's pretend like we haven't realised she is there. If she does it again, I will say something to her. She won't follow me to the restaurant, will she?"

"I don't know. You go ahead. I will talk to her. She needs to know how fucked up this is. She is a grown-ass woman, not a teenage girl." I sigh.

"Okay."

He tells me which restaurant and disappears into his car. If my sister realises, we are going to the same place, she will start her crap on me. I head over to the car, knocking loudly on the window.

She hesitantly rolled down the window. "What do you want?"

"Me? Are you fucking serious right now? What the hell are you doing, Beth? You know how messed up this is right, you stalking him like this? He isn't interested. Get over it."

It may sound harsh, but I don't care. She needs to give this type of crap up. It isn't normal.

She rolls her eyes. "It has nothing to do with you."

"Yes, it does. You are outside of my work. You are making Kade feel uncomfortable, and you are acting like a child. If I see you doing this again, I will tell Dad, Beth, because this is not healthy. You really should start seeing your therapist again."

"Fine! You can tell him he made the biggest mistake of his life." She snaps, starting the car.

I shake my head and walk away. Yes, she pisses me off and we don't get along, but I do worry about her. I can't help but wonder if there is more of a reason why she is like this. It can't be nothing that has made her like this. I don't know, but she would never tell me about it, anyway. She needs to get some help, that is one thing I am sure of. I make sure she drives off in the direction of home before I get into my car and drive to the restaurant. I make sure she isn't following me.

Upon my arrival, I discover an available parking spot. I told him to meet me inside, just in case. I stroll inside and glance around, seeing him at one of the tables in the back. I make my way over.

"Hey, sorry about my sister. She is gone. I told her I would tell my father if she did it again. He is the only one she seems to listen to."

"It is fine. Thank you for talking to her. Hopefully, she will stay away. I know we are driving, but we can get a taxi home. I have placed an order for a bottle of wine for us. We could do with it." He says softly.

"Thank you. Yes, wine sounds good." I smile and sit across from him.

I don't know if Beth will stay away or not. I can only hope. I wish she would find someone already who would put up with her crazy.

"Yes, it does. I am sorry I am the reason for your sister hurting."

"Honestly, don't worry about it. It is usual behaviour for her. It isn't your fault. Enough about her, let's enjoy good food and wine."

"Yes! I like that idea."

We can deal with the Beth situation tomorrow if we must.
