Blythe
I called my father after I got off the phone with Kade. I informed him of what had been going on. He and our mother are going to talk to Beth and keep an eye on her. I decided to call him straightaway in case Beth got to my father first and made up lies to get Kade into trouble for rejecting her again. I didn't mention Kade and me; no one needs to know about that. I need him to be focused on my sister before things get worse and trouble hits. Beth will not be happy when she finds out I told him, but it had to be done. It was the best option for everyone involved. Beth can be angry at me, but it was the right thing. I did it for her sake, too, not only Kade's. Beth won't react well to my parents talking to her, but it may be what she needs to stop and realise what she is doing is messed up.
Sighing, I take a sip of my wine and rest back on the sofa. If Kade isn't here in the next hour, I will go to bed. It is already after eleven, and I told him midnight. He isn't here by then. I am not waiting around for him, even though I could use some de-stressing in the best way we know how. If he doesn't come, it is fine. He has no obligation to be here. If I need to, I will sort myself out.
I go to take another drink of my wine, but before I can, my phone starts to ring. God, I hope that isn't Beth. My father said he would talk to her tomorrow, but he could have changed his mind and done it tonight. Hesitantly, I check and relax when I see it is Kade calling me and not Beth. I can worry about her tomorrow. I hope she doesn't come into the office and make a scene; she loves drama and wouldn't care about where we were.
"Hey," I greet as I answer.
"Hey, gorgeous." His words are slightly slurred. He is drunk.
"How is your night? You sound drunk."
"Good. I am a little drunk. What are the chances of you coming to pick me up? The line for taxis is long, and I don't want to walk since I am drunk. Come get me, please?"
I would rather pick him up than have him walk in case he falls, or someone tries to rob or jump him because he is alone and drunk. I have only had two sips of wine. I can drive.
"Yes, I will come and get you, but only if you buy me food," I laugh. "Where are you?"
"You can have whatever you want, baby girl. I am at the Devil's Advocate bar. Do you know where that is?"
"I do. Stay put. I will be there in fifteen."
He promises to stay, and I hang up. He doesn't need to buy me food. I was joking, kind of. I didn't have dinner. I was too busy overthinking about anything. There should still be a couple of takeaways open. Hmm, a kebab sounds good right now. Yes, I should get one. I will get us both one. It will help soak up the alcohol in Kade's system. I will buy it. I am sure he has already spent a bit of money on drinks tonight. I assume he will be staying here if he wants me to pick him up. I am fine with that. I need to make sure we don't run into anyone we know. Why would you call your colleague, whom you have not long met, to pick you up from a night out? It would seem odd to anyone.

I get Kade's drunken ass to the sofa. He is still laughing at my attempt to help him upstairs. Thankfully, he still has enough wit about him to make it up by himself. I take the seat next to him, hand him his kebab, and take mine. It smells so good. My stomach growls at the smell. I didn't realise just how hungry I was until I walked into the takeaway shop. I don't tend to eat food like this much, but I like to treat myself sometimes.
"Blythe, should I be worried? Is Beth going to cause trouble?" he sighs from next to me. His mood changed quickly.
"No, you are fine. I already spoke to my father. My parents will deal with it. So even if she does try to cause trouble, they already know the truth. So, stop worrying and eat." I say softly, squeezing his knee.
"Thank you." he smiles and digs into his food.
Has what happened been on his mind all night? Has he been worrying about what Beth would do? Is that why he is so drunk? He has only been out a few hours. He doesn't deserve all of this from Beth.
I take a bite of my food too, groaning. "Are you staying tonight?"
"Yes, if you don't mind?"
"No, I don't mind." I smile.
Kade reaches over and places his hand on my thigh, massaging it. "If you give me a little time, then we can do what I planned to come here for in the first place."
"It can wait until morning. You are drunk."
"And? I still know what I want!"
I laugh, shaking my head. "Yes, sure, we will see. The second you get into bed, you will crash out."
"No, I won't!" he whines.
He will. The second he climbs into my bed, his drunken ass will fall asleep. I chuckle and don't say another word. He can believe what he wants, but we will see who is right when we go to my bedroom.
I can feel him staring at me. I turn to face him, and he smirks. "I know you want me."
"I never said I didn't, did I?" I ask with a raised brow.
"Then I think we should be done with eating and go to your room and see which one of us is right." He challenges.
I don't answer him, not straight away. I make him wait for a bit. "Mmm, bring it on."
I set my food down and jump to my feet, standing before him. I take his from him too and set it next to mine. "Are you sure you can handle this?" I smirk, leaning down and resting my hands on each side of him on the sofa.
In one swift move, he wraps his arm around me and pulls me into his lap. "You know I can. We have fucked before when we have been drinking. Tonight won't be any different, so don't question me, sweetness." He growls, spanking my ass.
I moan and force myself from his hold and get back onto my feet. "Come on then, stud, show me what you got."
I rush away towards my bedroom and wait for him to join me. I wasn't sure if I would be getting laid tonight, but for now, it seems like I will be.
