When she made it down to the water line, Cassiopeia found Percy staring out at the waves. He was completely alone but she could hear Annabeth and Tyson yelling in the distance.
"Ánthos." Percy said grasping his chest and jumping slightly when he noticed Cassiopeia at his side, a blush immediately setting over both of their faces when they realised what he had called her.
(Translation: "flower." Taken from Google so apologies if it's wrong.)
Trying to move past the semi awkward moment, Cassiopeia spoke. "Herpes came to see you?" Percy snorted at the ridicules nickname for the god, choking on his own spit a moment later.
In the Great Hall, Hermes continued to pout on his thrown, winged hat pulled down over his eyes and arms crossed over his chest. "Stupid name." He grumbled.
"Yeah, gave me this and some gummies." He held up a flask with images of Heracles on it and a bottle of vitamins. Three yellow duffle bags sat on the sad at his feet. "He said you wouldn't need one," he pointed to the bags and then the one she had on her shoulder. "He also said that he had been to see you too."
"Yeah, just dropping by to talk to me." Cassiopeia shrugged like it was normal for gods to just stop by for a chat but Annabeth and Tyson had arrived before he could question it.
"What's going on?" Annabeth asked, her breath coming in pants. "I heard you calling for help!" She was staring at Percy before looking at Cassiopeia.
"Me too!" Tyson said. "Heard you yell, 'Bad things are attacking!'" The poor cyclops looked close to tears.
"I didn't call you guys." Percy said, "I'm fine." He assured.
"But then who..." Annabeth noticed the three yellow duffle bags, then the flask and bottle of vitamins Percy was holding and finally the travel bag on Cassiopeia's shoulder. "What's-"
"Just listen.," Percy urged. "We don't have much time." He told them about his conversation with Hermes. By the time he finished screeching could be heard in the distance - patrol harpies picking up their scents.
"Percy," Annabeth said, "we have to take this quest."
"We'll get expelled, you know. Trust me, I've been expelled enough times to-"
"I say we do it." Cassiopeia cut them off before an argument could begin, her eyes darting to the horizon. "We don't have time to argue and if we don't go then there will be no camp to come back to anyway. So with or without you I'm going because that's what Chiron told me to do." She said.
"That's cool." Percy stuttered, "saving camp again is always a good option. Not to mention it's the right thing to do." He smiled awkwardly, nodding his head.
"You changed your mind so fast you nearly gave me whiplash, Percy." Alex chuckled, reaching past Jake to ruffle the blonde's curls.
"I want to go," Tyson said looking down at Cassiopeia with his one big eye.
"No!" Annabeth's voice sounded close to panic. "I mean... Percy, Cass, come on. You know that's impossible."
"We can't leave him." Percy finally said after a long moment of silence, "Tantalus will punish him for us being gone."
"Percy," Annabeth said, trying to keep her cool, "we're going to Polyphemus's island! Polyphemus is an S-i-k... a C-y-k..." she stomped her foot in frustration. "You know what i mean!"
"Tyson can go if he wants to." Percy insisted ignoring the evil eye Annabeth gave him for his decision.
"All right," she said, "how do we get to that ship." She pointed to the boat in the distance.
