The following days after the ball were filled with chatter, the excitement still lingered like a cloud of glitter over the students. Floods of children swarmed the halls, books in hand, chatter in the air. Lessons had finished for the day, something the students found great relief in.

Cassiopeia moved with a brisk pace, her arm linked with Achlys' as they went. Fred and George had called for them to meet earlier, claiming it was extremely important. Ginny and Kira would be there too.

"Must be important for you to rush. Why weren't the rest of your court present?" Regulus asked. He noted how, aside from Ginny, the court members requesting her presence were all from the Heather Unit. "This was for a task I had given them." Cassiopeia replied.

Pushing the door open, the two girls entered a dust ridden classroom. Fred, George, Ginny and Kira were sat on the floor in a circle with something in the middle. "Hey, we're here, what did you need?" Achlys announced tugging Cassiopeia slightly to join the circle.

Once they were sat they had a clearer view of what they were surrounding. A small, shoe box sized, silver cage. Inside was a single grey rat huddled in the corner. Its body trembled under their gaze as it pushed itself further into the cage walls.

"It almost looks like wormy." Sirius mused with a smirk. The future generations shared a look before giggling quietly.

"What is this?" Cassiopeia rose her brow, mildly unamused by the 'urgent' meeting about a rat. Before they answered, George dug through his jacket pocket to pull out a familiar piece of parchment.

"This is, we was, our family rat. Scabbers." Fred said pointing at the cage. "Turns out it's not a rat at all." George opened the paper as he spoke. "This is Peter Pettegrew." They concluded. Before either Achlys or Cassiopeia could argue, George showed them the marauders map, pointing to the room they were in. All of their names were written in a circle and dead in the middle was another name. Peter Pettegrew.

"You kept him as a pet!?" Barty nearly screamed at Molly and her family effectively startling a young Charley and Bill Weasley. Molly didn't reply verbally only sending a glare at the Ravenclaw boy.

"So he's been with your family this whole time?" Achlys scrunched her face. "What do we do now?" The question hung in the air like smog. All heads turned to Cassiopeia who was glaring straight at the rat, her face was set like a marble sculpture.

"Now we take him to Madam Bones. We call a Wizardgamot meeting and demand he is charged for his crimes." She stated. "First though, I need to write to father and Uncle Sirius. I'll talk to Uncle Rem before dinner." She stood and brushed off her skirt. Picking up the cage, she cast a quick shrieking charm and placed it in her pocket before walking out.

"Level headed and quick to make productive decisions. Good qualities for a leader." Orion praised with a nod. Cassiopeia bit back a grin as she bowed her head in appreciation.

As promised as soon as she was back in the Slytherin common room she she went to write to her family. Wandering down one of the many corridors, this one led to a set of offices that provided them an area to complete any work they had as heirs to noble houses. Locking the door behind her, she took a seat at the mahogany desk and pulled out a piece of parchment. Dipping her quill in the ink pot she began to write.

"You have offices? That's so useful." A Hufflepuffs whined. "How come we have to do all our paperwork on the floor of our dorms." They complained to their friend.

The first letter was to her father, then to Sirius and finally she wrote to Madam Bones. Each held roughly the same message, a summary of how they discovered Peter Pettegrew alive and hiding within the walls of Hogwarts. She had added a paragraph to Madam Bones that requested a trial and investigation on the actions of Peter Pettegrew,
