When they reappeared they were lying face first in the sand of Montauk Beach, waves rolled into shore behind them. "Oh thank the gods you are ok!" Annabeth rushed over to Cassiopeia and pulled her to her feet, tugging her into a tight hug, "I was so worried." She muttered into the pale girl's shoulder. Cassiopeia ran a soothing hand down her back and gently mummed, "it's ok, we're ok." She planted a kiss on Annabeth's rich brown temple. Gathering themselves a little better, they looked around, eyes flickering from the ocean to the sand and skies.

"Awww they're so sweet together." Pandora muttered as she watched the two girls on the screen, her eyes glancing over to were they sat in the hall, Annabeth's hand was placed on Cassiopeia's shoulder, clasped gently in Cassiopeia's gloved hand.

"Air bear." Cassiopeia remarked, her soft features hardening into a harsh glare, "what are you doing here." She pulled out her sword, wrapping its blade in dark tendrils that pulsated with each of her breathes. Percy moved forward in an instant, standing in front of Cassiopeia with riptide capped in his hand.

"Oh Cassiopeia," he spat her name like venom on his tongue, "haven't you heard? You are needed else where." He taunted, cocking his head.
"Where?" She demanded, her grip tightening on her blade.
"Hades wishes to speak with you."
"I was just with him." She denied, her face scrunching with annoyance.
"Well something came up since you left. Now run along." Ares shooed her away and for a moment she hesitated, to deny the request of a god wasn't a wise move, no matter how much they liked you.

Turning on her heel she faced Annabeth and Grover, giving them each a tight hug and wishes for their safety. "Percy," she faced the blonde, "whatever you do now, be careful, Zeus may thank you for the return of the bolt but he won't stop the war, we are too late on that front." She sighed, "don't get yourself killed fighting a god."
"How did you-"
"I know everything Percy. Check your pocket," she whispered into his ear. "Good luck." She reached up to her neck and untied her camp necklace, carefully clasping it around his neck. "I'll meet you at the entrance to Olympus." She promised.
"Ok." He whispered watching her step back. Dark tendrils wrapped around her fingers and seeped into the sand and suddenly she was gone. No trace of her was left beside a set of footprints in the sand.

"What did you give him?" Remus asked, his brows furrowed with curiosity.
"My dagger." Cassiopeia leaned back against her husband, her fingers sliding across the rings she wore.
"Wouldn't it return to you?" James questioned.
"Not if I willingly gave it away." She shrugged.

"Hades!" Cassiopeia's voice rang out across the throne 'room', her gaze flickered round feverishly. Footsteps echoed towards her and her head snapped in their direction. "Cassiopeia." Hades greeted her with a smile.
"What do you want from me, I was just here." She demanded with an exasperated sigh.
"Some souls wish to talk with you," her eyes brightened slightly allowing a glimmer of hope to shine through.
"Who?"
"A few, but the first being Lily Evens." The hope died quicker than it came being drowned out by pure distaste.

"This is what happened when you went to see him?" Percy asked. Cassiopeia nodded mutely, pressing her face into his chest.

"No." She shook her head firmly.
"Cassiopeia, it would be good for you to speak with her, she may possess information you find most useful." Hades tried to coax her.
"What could she possibly tell me that I find useful?"
"You would have to ask her. It will be good for you. You need someone to talk to."
"And you think she is the one I should be talking to?"

"No, but maybe she'll know someone."
"Yes another manipulative bitch." She sassed, rolling her eyes.
"Cassiopeia, please just speak with her. There are two other souls who wish to speak to you also. Poppy and Eddy."
"Let me see them." She pleaded, the hope came back tenfold.
"After you speak to Evens."
"No let me see them now, please, I have been desperate to see them for years so please."
"And you will see them, as soon as you see Evens."
