Vic's pov
I woke up the next morning with both my arms wrapped around Mei, and her back pressed against my front. It took me a few seconds to remember what happened the previous day, but once I did I couldn't help but smile to myself.
The only times we'd fallen asleep in the same bed were because we'd hooked up right before, but we actually had a full-on snuggling evening. Like, in a romantic way. And now she was peacefully sleeping in my arms, her vague scent of cologne lingering in the air between us.
Judging by the amount of light coming through the shutters, I could tell it was probably pretty late in the morning, so I tried to move as little as possible as I grabbed my phone from the bed-side table.
Apart from the fact that it was past 11am, I noticed that I had a missed call and a few texts.
sam (el's gf): Hi Vic, can you call me back as soon as you can? Thanks
Reading that somewhat alarmed me, because it made me jump to the conclusion that something had happened to El. Sam didn't really have anything else she could possibly want to talk to me about.
I immediately started spiraling about it, but I temporarily forgot as Mei suddenly stretched her arms above her and turned towards me.
"Morning" she said, her morning voice sounding as hot as I remembered it to be.
"Good morning" I smiled. "Sleep well?"
"Really well" she nodded. "I forgot how much being big-spooned improves sleep quality"
"I'm glad I could help" I said with a chuckle.
"How do you look so beautiful when you literally just woke up?" she said, moving closer to me so that our foreheads were basically touching.
"I really don't" I shook my head. "You, on the other side..." I added, pecking her lips.
"I'm aware of how devastated I look when I wake up, don't lie"
"I'm not lying"
"Whatever" she chuckled, pressing her lips onto mine as we allowed the kiss to last a while. "I could really get used to this"
"Same" I said as I kissed her cheek.
"Do you happen to know what time it is?" she asked.
"It was past eleven when I checked"
"Oh shit, so late?"
"Did you have plans?"
"No, but I need to tidy the house up before my parents arrive this afternoon or they'll get mad at me" she sighed.
"I'll help you" I immediately offered.
"No you won't, silly"
"Don't call me silly. I'm serious, I like tidying up"
"What kind of insane person likes tidying up?" she asked, looking genuinely shocked.
"Me" I shrugged.
"I won't allow you to do that. You can stay here as long as you want, but I'll do the tidying up" she said.
"We'll see"
"Sure" she said, sounding anything but sure. "I'll go make us some coffee" she added as she got up, causing me to internally panic for a few seconds because I'd forgotten she was only wearing a t-shirt and a pair of boxers.
The smell of fresh coffee definitely woke me up enough to get up and go to the kitchen, feeling bold enough to approach Mei from behind and place my hands on her waist.
