Vic's pov

"I'm so nervous" El said as I placed one last hairpin in her hair.

"You look stunning, El. You're literally gorgeous" was all I could say as she turned around.

She was wearing a simple white suit, and the way her ginger hair and green eyes looked along with it was just amazing. I couldn't believe my best friend was getting married.

"Are you sure I do or are you just saying that? Because I honestly feel like I'm gonna pass out"

"Okay, just take a deep breath in" I said, placing my hands on her shoulders. "You look amazing. Today is gonna be the best day of your life. We've all got everything covered, there's nothing you need to worry about. Just keep reminding yourself"

"Easier said than done" she chuckled. "I can't believe this is actually happening. Is it just a really good dream I'm gonna wake up from?"

"No, El" I laughed. "It's really happening. And it's gonna be great. You're gonna marry the love of your life"

"Don't you start making me cry before the ceremony even starts" she breathed in deeply, looking at herself in the mirror. "Thank you for helping me, by the way"

"Of course" I smiled, quickly glancing at myself and my pastel pink dress in the mirror. "I love seeing you so happy"

"There's no one else I would have wanted to share this moment with" she smiled back, soon after hugging me.

"Be careful, I wouldn't wanna ruin your hair or makeup" I chuckled.

Before I could add anything, there was a knock on the door. Mei peaked in, looking as good as usual in her matching suit with me.

"Wow, you look stunning, El" she said as she walked in. "Sam is gonna lose her shit when she sees you"

"Thanks" she smiled. "Your girlfriend here has been helping me with my hair and also with trying to calm me down"

"Well, she did a great job with the hair" she said, wrapping her arms around me from behind. "I can't judge the calming down part, though. How are you feeling?"

"Pretty nervous. But very excited. I'm happy" El nodded.

"Today's gonna be a day to remember" Mei said, softly kissing my temple. "Now, let's get you married. Everyone's already gathered in their seats"

"You've got this" I reassured my best friend one last time, squeezing her hand.

"Yeah" she nodded as she took a deep breath in. "Let's do this"

They had chosen a small, open-air venue upstate New York, not that far from our hometown, and it was perfect. The flowery decorations everywhere made the naturally already full of green site look even better. It was a warm summer day, luckily not too warm, and a fresh breeze blew in the air. Everything felt perfect.

Mei and I settled in our front-row seats, all eyes on us for a second because we were the only ones who hadn't arrived yet.

"All of Sam's family looks so rich" Mei whispered to me as we turned around to see the people that were there for Sam. I recognized some of her friends, but I assumed everyone else was indeed her family.

"They do" I couldn't help but laugh a little. "Good for El" I joked.

Sam soon appeared at the altar and she looked just as stunning, her dark hair cascading down her back and contrasting with her white, flowy dress. I could tell she was also pretty nervous, but the smile on her face never faded. I gave her a hopefully reassuring nod when she quickly glanced at me.
