PSA: I recommend that you reread chapter forty-four and forty-five before reading this one as I changed the storyline a bit. :)
I'm contemplating arson. I can always buy the place before setting it on fire. Is it still considered a crime if it's my own property? The night started out great. We slept all day and Amaris got to have a little fun for a while. Except, the moment we got here, there were too many eyes on her.
She's wearing all black. A black long sleeve that comes up to just below her belly button, a black mini skirt that shows off her long, smooth brown legs and black high boots. She's wearing all silver jewelry and has a tiny black purse that probably has nothing in it except for a knife and lipgloss. I wonder if she'd let me borrow that knife. She forbade us from bring weapons and I'm starting to think it's because she had a feeling we'd use it to cut out the eyes of every man in here.
Even Sam and Jerome don't seem to be too happy with the looks she's getting. Amaris, of course, is oblivious. We all trail behind her while she makes her way through the crowd and smiles at everyone who looks her way.
Some drunk asshole tries to call her over but she doesn't pay him any attention, scouring the place to try and find the VIP section. We tell him to fuck off but he scoffs and flips us off. He abandons all self preservation instincts and reaches out his hand to grab her but Aiden grips his wrists before they reach her and twists. He's confused before the pain registers and he goes to scream but Aiden put his hand over his mouth. Whatever noise escapes him is drowned out by the loud music. Amaris is about to turn around but Sam quickly rushes to her side and grabs her attention. She tells him something and he quickly nods back at us before saying something back. Aiden redirects the guy through the crowd and over to the restrooms. When Amaris goes to turn again, Milo, Jerome and I form and line to block her view. "I found the VIP section! its over there!" she yells over the crowd and we all nod, following her over.
Aiden catches up with us the moment we step inside the private section. Sofas line the walls and there's a stand in the middle with a bucket of ice and some bottles. There are some shot glasses on table behind it in the form of a tower. I grab the one at the very top and go to fill it immediately while Amaris sits and waits. She's looking out at the crowd and I know she wants to join them but we rarely go to clubs if not for our missions so I pour her some liquid courage.
Sam grabs the next two glasses of the tower and brings them over, filling one for him and the next for Jerome. I hand Amaris's to her and she downs it, asking for another. By the time I fill the shot glass, drink it, and fill it again for her, everyone has taken their shot except Jerome who just eyes his glass wearily. "You don't like shots?" Amaris asks him over the music that's not as loud in the private area.
"I've never had one." He says, smiling at her. She smiles back and grabs the one I bring over to her.
"Let's do it together, okay? It burns a little on the way down but it doesn't taste that bad." She looks around. "let's all do it at the same time." I was just using her glass so I grab the whole bottle and when she counts down from three, we all take a shot. She claps and I laugh a little watching her. One thing about Amaris is that she's a complete lightweight. The fact that she's already so giggly is a clear indication that she's well on her way to being drunk. She demands another shot for her and Jerome but instead I sit next to her and drag her onto my lap.
Her face lights up and she giggles. "Hey, bug"
"Hi!" she yells entirely too loud. My eyes falls to her lips and she bits it so I lean in to kiss her.
"I'm going to go dance," Sam calls out from behind her and before my mouth reaches hers, she hops off of me.
"Oh! Me too!" She grabs the bottle and takes another shot before we can stop her. She swallows with a face and goes to take another. This time Aiden is there to grab it.
