as i read through the letter, the tears formed in my eyes. i was more than aware of the two pairs of eyes watching me, waiting to comfort me.

"are you okay?" ollie asks hesitantly.

"just stop asking if im okay! i'm fine! it's fucking appendicitis." i snap back, immediately feeling guilty about my outburst.

"sorry." i say, closing the letter and placing it down on the bed beside me.

"it's alright, don't worry about it." ollie replies, giving me a reassuring smile.

"i guess the doctor will be back soon." i say, looking up at the clock.

"yeah, she will." ollie says

"im going to go find a bathroom." kimi says, leaving the room. i knew what he was doing, he was leaving us alone, because there was a toilet connecting to my room.

"can i have a hug?" i ask, wanting to be in ollie's arms, my favourite place. it's not even a dangerous operation. i think this is more about what happened last year.

he doesn't reply, but instead gently pulls me into a hug, and i immediately felt calmer as i wrap my arms around him, resting my head against him.

"everything is going to be fine, we will be out of here before you know it." ollie says softly, stroking my back.

"i hope so." i say, not wanting to pull away, yet i lay back down, ollie's hand immediately back on mine.

"are you worried?" he asks.

"no, not really. are you?" i reply.

"im always worried about you, i'll be counting down the seconds until i can see you."

"im just glad ive never had to wait in a hospital for you."

"don't jinx it now baby."

"your the one jinxing things."

"well then, i guess it's up to me to give you the best treatment."

"oh definitely, you can bring me smoothies everyday." i joke

"great plan." ollie replies, as the door opens.

my heart skipped a beat, thinking it was the doctor, but no. thankfully only kimi and jules.

"15 minutes until they come to take you they say." jules says, sitting down beside the bed, opposite side to ollie and kimi.

"how delightful." i say sarcastically.

"you really do spend a lot of time in hospitals don't you." jules says.

"yeah, trust me i know. but at least this gets me out of training."

"only for a few days, but yes."

"lucky." kimi says.

all four us chatted, but time seemed to slow down by 10 times. each second felt like a minute, each minute an hour. i don't know what i was worried about, i mean this has been done thousands of times. i already had a message from alex albon, clearly word had gotten out into the formula one world as a few other drivers i was friends with had messaged too.

"ms antonelli?" the doctor says, knocking on the door while holding a wheelchair.

"yes?" i reply, subconsciously squeezing ollie's hand slightly harder."

"we are ready for you now." she says, walking further into the room.

"come on baby." ollie says quietly, helping me walk to the wheelchair even though i was perfectly capable of walking there myself.

"don't worry about it; or us." he says, before kissing my head and heading to sit down.

"you can come walk with us a little while, if you want too? she still needs to change." the doctor offers.

"yeah, course." he says, before saying goodbye to kimi and jules and following me and the doctor out the door.

once i was changed, it was time to say my final goodbye to ollie. i stand up to be closer to his height, and wrap my arms around his neck, his arms going around my waist in response.

"i'll see you when i wake up." i say, finally pulling away.

"i'll be sat waiting." he replies, before kissing the top of my head and leaving, saying goodbye.
