"are you and eli argueing?" i ask, as soon as we sat down.

"no, no. of course not." he replies, sitting in front of me.

"okay, then what's wrong?"

"it's stupid, i shouldn't-"

"kimi, out of the two of us. i think it's time for you to do something stupid. and i'm sure it isn't."

"you and ollie are in a long relationship. a lot longer than me and eli, so surely you can talk about children. your getting married."

"well yeah, but we aren't having kids for a long time. i can't drive and be pregnant."

"right. of course. but me and eli are... new to this? more me. she's my first girlfriend. don't laugh but... does she want kids?" he asks, and at first i didn't know what to say, or how to react.

"of course not! well obviously in the future. but not now." i say, kimi starting to laugh and i laughed along.

"thank god for that. i was worried. i mean you said she had a list-"

"kimi, girls start the list when they are teenagers!  you have nothing to worry about. your going to be a lot older before you have kids. or maybe not, whatever suits you i guess."

"i'm really stupid, aren't i?"

"you've never had a girlfriend before, but i'm glad i can give you advice on something."

"it's wierd, normally it's the other way round." he says.

"actually i wanted to ask you something."

"is it serious?"

"kind of? maybe, i don't know."

"well you can ask me anything."

he doesn't really want to hear. your just making shit up for nothing. your pathetic.

"uhm, actually. i'll be fine, i think ill just head back to my room now." i say, standing up quickly, my vision going black for a second.

"do you want me to come with you?" kimi offers.

"no thanks, but i'll see you in the morning?"

"yeah, oh and happy birthday lina."

"happy birthday kimi." i say, before walking out of his room, tears beginning to appear my eyes.

why are you crying? pathetic little bitch.

i had almost made it back to my room, when i hear someone shouting my name. i turn around to see lando walking over, with a suitcase in hand.

(english)

"hey lando." i say, moving my hair to hide my eyes.

"how you doing after the surgery?" he asks, giving me a smile.

"alright thanks, not much pain anymore."

"are you alright?" he asks, slightly worried.

"oh er yeah, yeah. i'm good." i lie.

"come here kid." he says, pulling me into a hug.

"thank you." i say quietly.

"you shouldn't be crying on your birthday." he says, comforting me.

"it doesn't really feel like my birthday." i say, pulling away.

"has ollie done something? because i can talk to-"

"no, no he hasn't done anything. just... i don't know. not been the best day."

"heard you got stuck in an elevator." he says, laughing a little.

"oh yeah, i don't know. maybe i'm just tired."

"well you should go to bed then. but i got you a gift." he says, before looking through his bag.

"lando you shouldn't have, really."

"it's fine, honestly. just promise you go to bed. and eat something. you need your strength for next race weekend, hopefully we can have a fight out on track." he says, handing me a small bag.

"okay... thank you." i say, beginning to open it. inside was the cutest little duck teddy.

"awh, thank you lando." i say, hugging him.

"i was out with my sister and i saw it, and you told me a duck was one of your favourite animals." he says, hugging me back.

"they are, it's adorable. thank you."

"just name it after me, yeah? and go to bed."

"i will, i will. i can't break the promise." i say, before saying goodbye to him.

just as i was about to open the hotel door, it opens in front of me, ollie was stood there with a worried face

"angel! i thought something had happened." he says, immediately pulling me into his arms.

"i'm sorry." i say, placing my arms around him, just glad to be back with him.

"it's alright, i'm just glad your okay... are you okay? you look like you've been crying." he says, pulling away a little to look at my face.

"just a long day, and i couldn't sleep before." i say.

"well come on, back to bed then." he says, his arm still around me as he guides me towards the bed, placing the blanket over the two of us as i rest my head on his chest once again.

"what's this?" he asks, looking down at the duck.

"a birthday gift from lando, isn't it cute?" i reply.

"it's lovely baby." he says, and it wasn't long before i was finally asleep.
