Two sat in their room, planning the next episode of TPOT. The last one had been a bit hectic, but they hoped this one would run more smoothly. They knew they weren't the best at planning or hosting—sometimes, it all got overwhelming, and they needed long breaks. Usually, they'd talk to Gatey about their worries, wondering if taking on the role of host had been too ambitious. But, oh well... they were getting by, day by day.
Moments like this brought them the most peace—alone in their room with a warm cup of tea and a plate of biscuits, gathering their thoughts for the next competition. They hadn't expected any company this afternoon. The contestants were off doing their own things, and they hadn't seen Four or X all day, assuming they were busy elsewhere. It was just them.
Sighing softly, Two picked up their tea, took a sip, and leaned back in their chair, letting the quiet settle around them.
Two had thought they'd be alone for the rest of the afternoon, able to focus since everyone was so busy. But, of course, their peaceful tea break had to be interrupted—why wouldn't it be?
Out of nowhere, Four popped into Two's room. He was bored. X was busy napping, and the contestants didn't want to talk to him. Ever since he stopped hosting BFB, everything had felt dull and plain. There wasn't enough action, enough excitement. Four wanted to be included in Two's competitions—he wanted to help host! He hated being sidelined all the time; it was frustrating.
Without hesitation, Four walked over and clambered onto Two without asking, reaching for a biscuit and shoving it into his mouth.
"Four! Get down!" Two ordered, prying him off and holding him at arm's length like a feral cat before placing him firmly on the floor.
"Can't you see I'm busy? You need to bother someone else right now." They batted their hand at him, trying to shoo him away. This was really important—they needed to prepare for the next challenge!
Four, of course, did not like being told no. He never did. But instead of frowning, he just stood there, blank-faced, before calmly responding, "No." Then, just as calmly, he reached over, grabbed another biscuit, and ate it.
Two sighed, rubbing their eyes. They weren't going to get any work done with Four hanging around like this. Why was he even here? Couldn't he go spend time with X or something?
"Four... I need to concentrate. Can't you find X?" Two asked, trying to keep their tone gentle. They didn't want to upset the blue numeral.
"He's sleeping," Four hummed before wandering over to Two's pretty pink couch. He clambered onto it and sat down—surprisingly polite, at least for now.
Two exhaled sharply. "Alright... well, just don't cause mischief, and you can stay. But be quiet!"
Satisfied, Two turned back to their work, trying to refocus. They really needed peace right now.
Two tried to focus again, but their concentration was quickly shattered by a dramatic whine from Four. They glanced up to see him leaning over the back of the couch, gazing at them with big, pleading eyes.
"I want juice... Get it," Four demanded.
Two blinked. "What?! Why can't you get your own juice?" they snapped, swiveling around in their chair to face him, irritation clear on their face.
This was typical. Two and Four didn't exactly get along most of the time, and even when they did—well, semi got along—it was usually because Four was desperate for attention and no one else was giving it to him. Just like now. The easiest way to avoid a tantrum was to give him what he wanted.
