Pencil and Pen, who are siblings, both invite their friends over on the same day, leading to an argument. Eventually, Pencil agrees to let it slide—but only on one condition: she gets to mess with him about his crush on Eraser without outright saying it.

Pencil lounged on the couch, feet propped up on the coffee table, lazily scrolling through her phone with a blank expression. Beside her, Marker was fully immersed in his video game on the TV. Meanwhile, their older brother, Pen, was rushing around the house, cleaning up in a frenzy. Pencil barely registered his movement until he abruptly shoved her feet off the table to wipe it down.
"Pencil, can you stop being a lazy ass and help me clean? My friends are coming over and—"
"Whoa, whoa, your friends?" Pencil sat up, giving him an annoyed look. "I invited my friends."
"What?! But it's my day to have friends over! We made a chart, Pencil!" Pen snapped.
"You made a chart. I didn't. And I don't care—my friends are already on their way, sooo..." She shrugged and went back to her phone.
"No! My bros hate your friends! They're so... annoying!" Pen groaned, growing increasingly frustrated.
"Well, the girls think your friends are gross, so it's better if they don't come," Pencil shot back, rolling her eyes.
"No!! They're already on their way! Just—can't you cancel? Tell them you're busy?" His voice softened, trying to reason with her.
"Nope. You tell your friends they're not coming. I don't want them here." She put her phone down and stood up, facing him as he loomed over her. "Or... I could just let everyone know about how you sleep-talk about Eraser."
Pen's face turned bright red as he stepped back. "That—you can't do that!!"
"Heyyy, guys!" Marker suddenly chimed in, glancing up from his game. "Why fight? What if you both have your friends over? I'll even invite Grassy too!" He grinned at them.
Pencil tapped her chin, pretending to think. "Hmm... y'know what? Fine. But on one condition—I get to tease you about Eraser the whole time. Don't stress, I won't outright tell everyone you have a crush on him... but I'll have fun with the knowledge." She smirked wickedly.
"Ughh!! I don't care! You're such a bitch!" Pen stormed off into the kitchen, tossing the cloth into the sink. He braced his hands on the counter, taking a deep breath. His whole body burned with frustration. After a moment, he exhaled sharply, composing himself, then trudged back out.
"Fine. But you can't say anything about me... liking him. Got it?" He knew Pencil's games—she'd drop hints, throw in suggestive jokes, maybe even push them into a game of Truth or Dare just to make him squirm.
"Fine by me," Pencil said, grinning.
The doorbell rang.
"Go open the door," she added with a lazy wave of her hand as she dropped back down to the couch.
Pen muttered curses under his breath as he stomped toward the entrance.
Pen swung open the door, hoping to see one of his friends. But of course, it was just Match. He rolled his eyes and turned back toward Pencil.
"Match is here," he grumbled.
Match excitedly stepped inside, a bag slung over her shoulder—meaning she was probably sleeping over. Great. She bolted forward with a squeal.
