Firey had been planning this day for weeks. After everything that had happened since TPOT... after all the pain, confusion, and lost time, he finally had a chance to be with Leafy again. Really be with her. And he wasn't going to waste a second of it. He wanted today to feel like the start of something new... or maybe the rekindling of something they'd always had.

He packed a cozy little picnic basket full of fresh sandwiches, salty chips, fizzy soda, and even tucked in a soft blanket. And of course, he remembered the most important part; he ate a yoyle berry earlier and packed a yellow tomato, just in case the moment felt right to share a kiss, he'd have to be metal for that! He was practically bouncing with nervous excitement as he pulled up to pick Leafy up from where she was staying.

"I've got a surprise for you," he grinned as she slid into his car, her expression immediately lighting up with curiosity.

"Ooooh, I love surprises!" she giggled. "What is it? Where are we going?"

"Nope! No hints. You'll see," Firey replied smugly.

The drive was long enough for them to chat and laugh like old times, but short enough that the butterflies in Firey's chest didn't have time to completely explode. He took her up a winding path on a quiet mountain road, until the view opened up into a hidden garden, a patch of nature so serene and colourful, it looked like something out of a dream. Bright wildflowers swayed in the breeze, and the golden hour sun was just starting to dip low in the sky, casting a warm glow over everything.

"Okay, you're gonna have to wear this," Firey said as he pulled out a soft blindfold.

Leafy raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Why's that?"

"Shhh, just trust me," he said, gently tying it over her eyes. Leafy giggled.

"Where are you taking me, dum-dum?" she teased, bumping her shoulder against his as he guided her carefully up the grassy slope.

"You'll see, Leafy. Patience," he whispered, barely able to contain the excitement in his voice.

Once they reached the perfect spot, Firey let go of her hand just for a moment. He quickly spread out the blanket, carefully placing the picnic basket in the centre, making sure everything looked just right. His heart pounded in his chest as he glanced around at the flowers, the warm sky, the peaceful quiet. This was it.

He walked back over and stood in front of Leafy, taking a small breath. "Okay," he said, a smile creeping across his face. "You ready?"

Leafy gave a small nod, her hands clasped in front of her, and Firey reached up to untie the blindfold. As it slipped away and her eyes opened, Leafy blinked in surprise, her mouth slowly forming a soft, stunned smile.

"Oh... Firey..." she breathed. Her voice was light with awe. "This is... beautiful."

Firey felt a warm flush of pride rise in his cheeks. "I'm glad you like it," he murmured. "I just... wanted to make it special. For you."

Leafy turned to him, her expression gentle. "It already is."

Or at least... it was perfect, until a voice suddenly rang out behind them.

"What the hell is this?!" Coiny barked, his tone sharp and full of disbelief. Just behind him stood Pin, cheerfully holding a picnic basket in her arms and beaming brightly. Somehow, against all odds, they had planned the exact same kind of date... in the exact same place.
