Fries gets invited to one of the boys' nights, the kind filled with drinks, snacks, and dares. Things take a turn when one of the guys makes a dare that goes a little too far: he challenges the only two single guys there to kiss. Snowball and Fries.

Pen loved hosting his "boys-only" nights, those loud, chaotic gatherings where everyone could unwind, drink, and be idiots together. It was tradition at this point. He'd invite his boyfriend, Eraser, of course, along with his best friends Snowball and Blocky. Blocky would always bring his boyfriend Woody, who had long since become part of the gang. Snowball usually invited Coiny, though whether he'd actually show up was always a toss-up, considering how much time he spent with his girlfriend.

This time, though, Pen wanted to do something a little different. He thought about inviting Fries, someone who never really came to parties, always kept to himself, and usually turned down hangouts in favour of being alone. Pen figured it might be nice to include him for once, to make him feel welcome. "It could be fun," he'd thought. "We can all just hang out, chill, and have a good night."

So he sent Fries a message earlier in the day. But now it was almost 8:30, and Fries was still the only one who hadn't shown up.

The living room was set up perfectly for the night. The coffee table was packed with snacks; chips, pretzels, popcorn, and a mountain of candy, surrounded by half-empty beer packs and discarded bottle caps. Music played softly from the speaker, the kind of background noise that filled in the space between bursts of laughter and the sound of crinkling chip bags.

"Man, it's almost nine," Coiny said, lounging on the floor with his phone in hand. "I don't think Fries is coming. He's never really been a people person, anyway."

Pen frowned and waved him off. "Nah, he'll come. We were on a team with him, he's chill! You just gotta give him a chance."

Eraser, sitting beside him with his arm loosely resting along the back of the couch, gave a small shrug. "Yeah, he's alright."

Pen smiled faintly, their knees brushing together as they sat close. He had a beer in hand but hadn't touched much of it; he didn't want to get tipsy before Fries arrived. Eraser, on the other hand, was already on his second drink, looking as relaxed as ever.

Across the room, Blocky and Woody were half-curled up together on an armchair, both a little tipsy already. They were always quick to get giggly after a few drinks. Snowball, on the other hand, had planted himself on a beanbag, already three beers deep and bored out of his mind. He was scrolling through his phone.

Coiny was pacing himself carefully, only halfway through his first beer. He knew better than to come home wasted, Pin would absolutely tear him a new one if he did.

Pen checked his phone again, half-hoping for a message. Still nothing. He sighed quietly, tapping the can in his hand. "C'mon, Fries... don't bail on me now," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.

Eraser glanced at him and gave his shoulder a reassuring pat. "He'll come. Just give him time."

Just when Pen was starting to think Fries wasn't coming, a sudden knock at the door made him jump up from the couch. His heart leapt, finally! He practically sprinted to the door, fumbling with the handle before yanking it open.

Standing there, expression as flat as ever, was Fries.

"Sup," Fries said simply.

"Fries! Dude! You made it!" Pen grinned, visibly relieved. "Come in, man, glad you could make it!"
