“Miss Lucy, your parents' visitor are already here. Your parents want you to go to the living room already,” Nikoel said from outside of my bedroom's door.

I was still looking at myself on the mirror. I am wearing a beige suit and a beige pencil cut skirt, two inches above my knees, and a white fitted sleeveless under the suit. I paired it with white stilettos. While my hair is on a clean bun.

It's my Mom's birthday today. Her first birthday that I am with them. It's also her first birthday that I'll be able to celebrate with.

She invited all the employees in our company, as well as the board of directors and the investors. Especially the business partners.

I actually do not like huge occasions like this. Or maybe because I am not used to huge crowd. If I am in another situation right now, I think I would not attend, but since it's my Mom's and it is our first time celebrating her birthday together, I have to be around her.

“I'm coming!” I responded to Nikoel.

I then breathed in one last time in front of my mirror, then I walked to the door and opened it. There, Nikoel is waiting for me, wearing his usual suit.

“Are there a lot of people already?” I asked him as we walk to the hall.

“Yes, Miss Lucy. Your Mom and Dad are waiting for you. They said they have to introduce you to her friends,” Nikoel said, still stoic.

I nodded. “Alright. I just hope this party would end sooner. I wanna celebrate with them alone.”

“We'll see, Miss Lucy,” Nikoel said.

As soon as we arrived at the top of the stairs, I could immediately saw the people on the huge living room of the house. Some were drinking, some were eating. There are circular tables everywhere. And beside the wall are the buffet of food where some waiters and waitresses are serving. The glass wall made the living room look bright. And the view of the garden can be seen from the glass wall.

We slowly walked downstairs. Nikoel guided me, holding my hand. Some eyes are on us, but some were busy with their own businesses.

When we are already on the living room, Nikoel let go of my hand. We went straight to my Mom which is on far side of the living room. She is talking to a young man, which I think is one of her business partners.

“Mom,” I called her in a small voice when I arrived behind her.

Mom immediately turned her head face to me. She's wearing an elegant fitted white dress that suited her well.

“Oh! Stephano, hijo, this is my daughter right here, Luciana Rose Miller. Lucy, this is the El de Hera's oldest son, Stephano El de Hera,” Mom introduced us to each other.

I smiled at the guy. The guy did the same. He extended his hand for a handshake, left with no choice, I accepted his hand.

“It's nice meeting you, Miss Miller,” he said.

I nodded. “It's nice to meet you as well, Mr. El de Hera.”

We both let go from the handshake.

“I have been wanting to introduce you both to each other. I feel like you'd both be a good business partner someday,” Mom spoke. “And to be a good business partner, always starts from having a good relationship with each other.”

Stephano smiled at Mom. “I am looking forward to work with your daughter, Ma'am. I think she'd be a great business partner as well. Seeing how she helped the company get back on its feet, I have no doubt that she's a good CEO.” Then he sipped on a wine his holding with his left hand.
