They said that the most important part of living is moving forward.

Why? Simple.

When things did not go your way, move forward. When things fail, move forward. When people hurt you, move forward. When you lost a pet, move forward. When you feel like you are a failure, move forward... because you are not.

It has always been about being able to accept the things that did not worked well and go on with life, because today is a different day, and tomorrow is another day.

“My office got pretty new. It looks like it had a make over. It didn't looked like this when I was here,” she said as she sat properly and professionally on the white sofa of my office, here in the company.

She is wearing a corporate attire with a pencil cut skirt. Her hair is on a neat bun. And she is looking elegant and powerful just by simply sitting on the sofa.

“I can't believe that you're here,” I said as I stared at her with my brows raised.

Honestly, I did not expect her to be sitting on that sofa after she went back to her family. And what I did not expect the most is the fact that she is willing to be partnered with our company.

She raised her brows at me, and she definitely looks like a CEO who can step on you anytime she wants.

“Well, I guess I don't keep grudges on people?” she said and chuckled then looked around. “Mr. Tungsten has been here rin pala? He had been working for your parents for years na. He is truly loyal to your family.”

And so?

“He is,” I answered shortly.

She smiled. Now, her rigid aura vanished and is replaced with an angelic demeanor. “Well, I am happy to be back here! If hindi dahil sa office na ito, I wouldn't have been good with business. Kaya I am so happy to see and be here again! Oh, and thank you very much for taking care of it. The plants really put life on it!”

I rolled my eyes. I don't know if she is just trying to make the atmosphere less awkward, or if she truly is genuine with her reactions? All I know is that I don't like her presence.

“Let's just get to the point, Ms. Mariano. Since you're here for partnership, then let's sign the contract already and stop wasting time. Shall we?” I said, out of annoyance.

I swear, even though I already have accepted that everything that has happened before was my fault, I still can not prevent myself from getting annoyed just by looking at her face. Her face seriously annoys me for no reason.

Is it because it is too angelic?

She smiled and stood up cheerfully from the sofa. She then walked towards me. She put a folder on top of my desk and then smiled at me.

“Here are the copies of the contract, Ms. Miller,” she said.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. “Are you trying to annoy me, Phaebe?”

She raised her brows at me. A smirk is plastered on her face. “Me? Why would I annoy you? It's just a waste of time.”

I glared at her and looked away, trying to stop myself from grabbing her hair because it is definitely wrong—and she is on a clean bun, it is going to be hard for me.

I annoyingly took the folder and opened it. I read the contract just to make sure that she is not making fun of me. But she really isn't.

It is a real contract.

I sighed and took a pen from my pen holder, and then signed all the copies of contract.

“You're really signing it?” she asked all of a sudden.
