I sighed and stepped out of the car the moment I arrived at the garage in the company. I decided to just drive myself here so that I will be used to it and will not keep on relying on Nikoel.

Employees are greeting as I walked through the hallway. I passed through the canteen and I heard Nanay Melin calling me.

"Lucy, hija?"

I immediately smiled and turned my head towards her direction. She is standing on the counter.

My eyes quickly dropped on the person she is talking to.

I blinked and my smile almost faded when I realized who it was.

He is standing in front of the counter, facing Nanay Melin. His back is on me but I could still recognize him. He is wearing a gray suit and pants that made him look even better.

"Halika muna rito! Nandito na si Lucas!" Nanay Melin said joyfully as she signalled me to come.

My heart hammered. I don't know what to do. I am torn between saying 'no' or just go to her.

But the latter won. With wobbling knees, I walked towards her direction, trying to maintain my smile.

And slowly, Lucas turned his head towards me. But I chose not to look at him. I don't want to falter. But I could still feel his hot stares on me, running from my head down to my toes.

And I think it is such a wrong timing that I am wearing a black pencil skirt that is three inches above my knees paired with a white fitted long sleeved upper.

"Bakit po, Nanay?" I asked immediately when I was already in front of the counter.

Nanay Melin is smiling cheekily. I guess she is so happy to see Lucas again.

"Hinahanap ka ni Lucas kanina noong wala ka pa. Kaya tinawag na lang kita agad para kayo na mismo ang mag-usap at magsabay na lang kayo sa opisina mo," ani Nanay Melin. "Tsaka alam mo ba, hija? Marami siyang na-ikwento sa akin! Sigurado akong marami ka ring malalaman sa kanya ngayon!"

I glanced at Lucas. He is also smiling at Nanay Melin's statement and shook his head.

"Hindi naman iyon masyadong marami, 'Nay. Grabe ka talaga!" Lucas spoke.

Here he is with his cocky side when he's with other people.

Nanay looked at him and reached for his arm then slapped him a bit. "Anong hindi masyadong marami? Marami kang sasabihin kay Lucy! Ang daming nangyari sayo habang nasa Tsina ka! Marami pa akong gustong marinig mula sayo, hijo! Tsaka sigurado akong gustong marinig iyan lahat ni Lucy!"

I bit my lower lip and smiled a bit. It actually ended up an awkward one because I guess Nanay Melin forgot that I and Lucas has ended everything even before we started.

Lucas chuckled. Electricity ran up to my system the moment his chuckle vibrates on my eardrum.

"Babalik ako rito mamaya, 'Nay. Ki-kwentuhan pa kita ng mas marami. Tsaka papakitaan kita ng mga pictures galing Tsina. Gusto mo isama pa kita doon, eh," he said.

Nanay giggled and slapped Lucas' arm again. "Ikaw talagang bata ka! Sige! Isama mo ako doon! Isama mo na rin ang Tatay mo! O kaya ang buong Trivino, isama mo na rin!"

Lucas laughed. "Grabe naman! Ginawa niyo pa akong eroplano."

I feel like I should not be here. The atmosphere is really awkward for me.

"Pero maganda nga doon, hijo? Naku, pangarap ko talaga iyan noon. Ang makapuntang Tsina!" Nanay said.

"Kapag nagka-pera ako, Nay, dadalhin kita doon. Ipapasyal kita," Lucas said.
