Chapter Fifty-Six

I am walking on the lobby, holding my white Louis Vuitton hand bag, while Nikoel is beside me.

"Are you sure you're gonna meet them, Miss Lucy?" he asked me.

Paulit-ulit niya akong tinatanong niyan, kanina pa, since we were in the office.

"Yes, Nikoel, I am sure. I won't be coming down from the office, if I am not," I answered him.

"But Mrs. Chua, Miss Kylie Chua, and Lucas will be there, Miss Lucy," he pointed out.

I sighed. I understand that he is worried about me, about what I might feel during and after this meeting with the Chua's and Lucas. As far as I can remember, the meeting will be about our plans together for our companies, once we worked together.

And I don't think there is something to worry about.

"Walang problema, Nikoel. It is fine with me. I signed the appointment they made for this meeting, so I am coming. I will be fine, don't worry," I told him.

He sighed. "Alright, Miss Lucy. But if ever you'll change your mind, just tell me."

I smiled and looked at him. "Right away, Nikoel. Now, shall we?" I asked and pointed the door.

Kanina pa kami nakatayo sa lobby because he is stopping me from leaving.

He nodded. "Alright, let's go."

Parang mas nervous pa siya kaysa sa akin.

Well, I am not nervous though. It's just them and we're going to talk about pure business. So, nothing's to be anxious about.

Aside from that, I and Lucas had a talk a week ago and he keeps on texting and calling me. So, wala talaga akong dapat ikakaba.

We walked towards the garage and Nikoel immediately opened the door of the car for me. He immediately drove the car out of the company as soon as we entered, and moved towards Lucas' restaurant again.

We will hold our meeting on his restaurant because they are all chinese and they prefer the place.

When we arrived there, the waitress quickly greeted us.

"Good day, Ma'am and Sir! Table for two?" she asked while smiling at us.

Looking at her, I realized that she is also chinese. And most of the workers here in this restaurant are chinese.

I smiled back at her. "We are going on a meeting with Mrs. Chua, Mr. Tan, and Ms. Chua. Can you lead the way for us towards their table, please?"

She quickly nodded. "Oh, yes, Ma'am. Follow me."

I and Nikoel immediately followed her. Unlike before, she led us to a more private room of the restaurant. We entered a hallway which is always closed and with a sign that says 'VIP'.

Then the waitress opened a door for us, revealing the three people whom we are expecting to be meeting with today.

The waitress bowed down to the three chinese. "Good day, Ma'am's and Sir. Ms. Miller has arrived."

Mrs. Chua bowed his head a bit, as well as Kylie and Lucas. And by the way, Lucas looks good with his black button down long sleeved polo.

He looks good everyday.

"Ms. Miller, come in and join us," Mrs. Chua said with a huge smile.

I and Nikoel entered the room. The waitress then closed the door behind us.

I took a glance at the door before I decided to walked towards the table and sat on an empty chair across Mrs. Chua. On the right side of the table is Lucas and Kylie, while on the left side is Nikoel.
