People say that the best therapy is gifting yourself with things you crave for after a tiring day. At the end of the day, it is about you spoiling yourself when other people cannot.
So, here I am at the mall, choosing new dresses for myself. I think the last time I went to a mall to buy myself a present was four or five years ago. I almost forgot about myself.
"Gusto mo ba iyan, Ma'am. Maganda ang tela na iyan, Ma'am. Tsaka bagay na bagay iyan sayo, Ma'am," a saleslady talked to me while I am checking a pink dress.
I looked at her and smiled. "Can I try this on?" I asked.
She immediately nodded. "Yes po, Ma'am. Here's the dressing room, kindly follow me."
I quickly held the dress carefully and followed the saleslady. She stopped in front of a room which I guess is the dressing room.
"I will wait for you here, Ma'am. Tawagin niyo lang po ako kung may kailangan kayo," she said and smiled.
I smiled back and nodded at him. I instantly went inside and closed the door. Good thing is the dressing room is solid and wide with a whole body mirror inside, so I can totally move however I want.
I quickly took off my green blouse and my beige pencil skirt. Tapos ay sinuot ko ang dress.
When I successfully wore it, I looked at myself on the mirror. The dress is stretchable and has a thin strap on both shoulders. It has a heart shaped neckline. It reaches until my ankle which is perfect for the beach.
I am definitely buying this one.
I quickly took it off. Then I wore back my blouse and skirt then I went out of the dressing room.
The saleslady is still waiting for me outside.
I smiled at her. "Hi. I am buying this dress. How much is this?" I asked.
She quickly clapped in joy. "I told you you'll love it, Ma'am. It's just Php 12,000."
I smiled and nodded. "I'll pay with a card."
She nodded. "Follow me, Ma'am. We'll pack your dress and you may pay on the counter, Ma'am."
I nodded. "Alright, thank you."
I quickly went to the counter and payed. Then the saleslady immediately gave me the dress after she was done packing it.
"Thank you so much!" I said.
She nodded. "You're welcome, Ma'am, and thank you as well. Come back soon."
I smiled and walked towards the other stores inside the mall. But then my eyes stopped at a pregnant woman who just stepped out from a jewelry corner inside the mall.
It Kylie Chua. She is alone. I wonder why she is alone though? She is a pregnant woman, she should have someone with her.
I sighed. Mind your own business, Lucy.
I quickly walked inside the shoe store. I immediately looked for heeled sandals that will fit me better.
But while I was checking some shoes, I saw Kylie entered. I just looked away and did not mind her. Just like me, she is probably buying herself a present.
"Hi!"
I gasped when someone talked in glee from behind me.
I quickly faced the person. It's Kylie.
"H-Hi?" I answered with uncertainty.
She smirked. "It's nice seeing you here after... two weeks? Was it two weeks? Well, whatever. It's nice seeing you here. Looking for good heels?"
