Chapter Fifty

Another day passed and finally Dad is discharged from the hospital. I, Mom, Phaebe, Clovis, and Nikoel are together as we walked towards the car outside the hospital. Nikoel and Clovis are helping him walk just in case he would lost balance.

"Where are we going after this po, Mom? Sa bahay agad? Aren't it sobrang habang biyahe kung we go straight there? Shouldn't we stay in my condo na lang muna para makapag-rest si Dad?" I asked Mom whose walking beside me with Phaebe.

She sighed. "You're right. Let's stay na lang muna sa condo unit mo so your Dad can take some rest. If he's already feeling fine, we can go back to our house immediately."

I nodded and smiled. "Alrighty! But we should buy some grocery po muna. Naubos na ang foods ko sa condo, eh."

"Oh sure! Not a problem, honey," Mom said.

I looked at Phaebe. Just like me she is also carrying the bags that is filled with Dad's clothes.

"You're really going home na, Phaeb?" I asked her.

She quickly looked at me and nodded with a smile. "Oo, eh. My kids are waiting for me at home. Tsaka even though my Nanay and Tatay are there, busy rin kasi sila madalas due to politics. Kaya I have to go home for my kids."

"Hmm..." I slowly nodded. "You didn't hire a nanny?" I asked her.

"I hired before. Pero now na malaki na ang kids ko, I don't think I need a nanny anymore. Tsaka I want to take care of them by myself na ngayong magiging three years old na sila," she said and smiled, looking so proud of her kids.

I wonder what it feels like to have a kid?

"They're going three na? Wow! Ang bilis lang, ah!" I said and gasped.

She nodded and giggled. "Yep. They're growing really fast. Parang ayoko tuloy lumaki sila agad. I feel like ang dali lang ng panahon. And my boy is going one month already."

I stopped walking. I looked at her on confusion. "Anong my boy? What do you mean? You just gave birth?" I asked in surprise.

She smiled and nodded. "You didn't know pala? I just gave birth a month ago with my little Code."

I gasped as my hand flew on my mouth. My eyes are wide. I looked at her body. Nothing changed on her. She still look slim and sexy as if she did not gave birth at all.

"My gosh! Hindi halata sayo! My gosh! Three na ang kids mo?! Oh my gosh!" I gasped and held my head.

I can't help it! She already have three kids and yet I am just here single and all. Parang napag-iwanan na ako ng panahon even though life is not a race.

I looked at Clovis whose now helping my Dad enter the backseat of his car with Nikoel. I quickly called him.

"Hoy, Clovis! Why are you making Phaebe pregnant again and again, ha?!" I yelled at him.

I heard Mom and Phaebe laugh beside me. Pero I am annoyed, ha! Ang OA mambuntis ni Clovis! Sunod-sunod!

The three of them looked at my direction. Clovis raised his brows at me.

"It's normal for a married couple, Lucy. You should get married too so you'll get pregnant. You'll understand me when that time comes," he answered calmly.

Ngumiwi ako. "I don't think so! Don't you know how hard it is to bear a child for nine months, ha? And what's worse?! Iyong manganak! Oh my gosh! I saw a lot of nanganganak na video! Super sakit, Clovis!" Maypa nginig pa ako.

Dad laughed. "Young lady, once you're married you'll understand Philip."

I looked at Dad and glared at him. "You're just saying that kasi lalaki ka rin, Dad. You don't know talaga how hard it is. Super annoying niyong mga lalaki!"
