"Tay, isang rice po tsaka tinolang manok po," I told Tatay while I am checking the foods on the stools.
I went down to eat alone because Nikoel said he is full. I don't know what's going on with him, he doesn't have an appetite these days. I feel worried.
"Iyon lang po ba, Ma'am?" he asked.
I nodded. "Opo. Iyon lang. Thank you."
He immediately prepare the foods I ordered while I waited in front of the counter. Then he suddenly asked about my cheek.
"Anong nangyari diyan sa pisngi mo, Ma'am Lucy?" he asked.
I smiled a bit and touched my cheek where the bandaid is. "Oh, nasugatan ko po sa nails ko, Tay."
He slowly nodded. "Ah, akala ko napaano iyan."
"Opo," I answered politely.
He placed the wooden tree on the counter with the foods I ordered on it. "Ito na po order niyo, Ma'am."
I smiled and nodded then payed him. "Thank you po, Tatay."
I took the tray and went to an empty table to eat. I could feel my stomach grumble as I look and smelled the aroma of the tinolang manok. Agad akong kumain dahil sa gutom.
But while I was eating, I stopped when a hand holding a bouquet of flower appeared in front of my face. With mouth filled of food, I looked at the person holding the green bouquet.
My eyes lit up to see Lucas. "What are doing here?" I asked him.
He is wearing a white polo and a black denim pants paired with white shoes. His hair is as clean as it is.
He smiled. "Wala, binibisita ka. Bulaklak para sa magandang babaeng nasa harapan ko," he said and held the bouquet in front of me again.
I chuckled as I accepted the bouquet. I licked my lower lip as I felt my heart softened.
I looked at the bouquet and all of it are red tulips. I smelled it and smiled because I realized the flowers are real.
"Thank you," I said. "What's going on? Bakit maypa-flower ka? Hindi ko naman birthday."
He pulled a chair and sat across me. "Bakit? Kailangan ba na may okasyon kung magbibigay ako ng bulaklak? Gusto lang kitang bigyan dahil nararapat lang sayo iyan."
"Aw... thank you for this. Are you courting me na?" I asked him with a shy smile.
He stared at me with eyes filled with admiration and smiled a bit. "Bakit? Tinatanggap mo na ba ulit ako?" he asked.
I puckered my lips. "What do you mean? Na if hindi kita tatanggapin ulit, you won't court me?"
"Liligawan pa rin kita syempre. Sinisigurado ko lang na tanggap mo ang panliligaw ko at na hindi ka napipilitang tanggapin ang bulaklak na binili ko," he said.
I smiled. "I love it. Thank you for this. I don't usually receive flowers kaya thank you so much."
"Simula ngayon palagi ka nang makakatanggap ng bulaklak. Pero dapat galing lang sa akin," he said.
I giggled. I placed the flower carefully on the table. I started eating again.
"Why are you here na naman aside sa you want to give me flowers? Don't you have work ba?" I asked.
He pursed his lips as he watched me eat. "Meron, kaya nga babalik din ako agad pagkatapos nito, eh."
"Pagkatapos ng what? After I eat?" I asked.
He slowly nodded. "Oo, ihahatid kita sa opisina mo."
I smiled. "You don't have to. Kaya ko na. Tsaka baka people will think na boyfriend kita."
