"Congratulations! I can't explain how happy I am right now seeing you getting engaged with each other!" the woman which I would guess is on her 50's said as three men and one woman clapped with her.

Napapalibutan nilang lima sina Lucas at Kylie. All of them looks so glad except the two who just got engaged.

Nikoel whose sitting in front of me also turned his head to see what I am watching. Then when he realized who it is, he quickly looked at me.

Our eyes met. I quickly raised my brows at him. "What?" I asked.

"Gusto mo bang lumipat na lang tayo ng restaurant? Pwede naman tayong kumain rito sa susunod na araw na lang," he said, though his eyes are blank, his voice is the opposite, it is the softest.

I puckered my lips and shook my head. "No need. We'll stay here. Dito tayo kakain tonight."

He stared at me for a second then asked later on. "Sigurado ka? Hindi ka ba nasasaktang nakikita ang engagement party ni Luc?"

I sighed. I looked at the other table again. They are already sitting, the people aside from Kylie and Lucas looked so happy.

"I'm... disappointed and a bit hurt, of course. But then if hindi talaga si Lucas ang para sa akin, then hindi. I don't think I would stop his engagement just so he would run back to me," I answered with all honesty.

After those years that I spent with myself alone, I realized so many things. One of those is not to force things. The reason why? It's because if that single thing is meant for you, then it is for you, no one else will have it. But if it's not for you, then maybe that is meant for someone else.

He slowly nodded. "Sigurado ka, ah? Marami pa naman iyong order na lobster, baka hindi mo maubos dahil broken ka na naman."

I chuckled at him. "Broken? Not really. Siguro disappointed lang."

He nodded. "Sabi mo iyan, eh."

I saw the waiter approaching us, holding a tray filled with lobsters. She then smiled at us when she arrived in front of our table.

"Here are your orders, Ma'am and Sir. Enjoy your lobster," she said and placed it on our table.

I smiled back at her. "Thank you so much."

The waiter quickly walked away. I looked at my plate. Sobrang daming lobster. Feeling ko mabubusog ako nito after.

This is good to heal a disappointed heart.

"Kain na tayo!" I cheered and immediately dug in.

While we are eating, someone suddenly stood in front of our table. I and Nikoel quickly looked as to who it is.

I blinked when I realized it is Kylie's mother. She is wearing a red dress that makes her look more chinese. Behind her are the other people she was with... and Lucas with Kylie.

"How may we help you, Ma'am?" Nikoel was the one who spoke.

The woman did not bother looking at Nikoel. Her eyes are on me as I tried to read her. She looks like... showing me arrogance and pompousness.

"Uh... yes, Ma'am?" I asked her because she is not talking, she is just looking at me.

"So, you're the heiress of the Millers, huh?" she asked with her formal accent.

I nodded. I stood up from my seat. "Yes, I am, Ma'am. It's nice to meet you. I am Luciana Rose Miller from the Miller Company."

I don't know if I should shake hands with her or what? I don't know any chinese gestures.
