"You're looking like a duck pouting endlessly. What's inside that card?" Nikoel who is sitting on the sofa, here in my office, interrupted me.

As time passes by, I felt like Nikoel is slowly opening himself to me. He suddenly became more laid-back than before. He is acting way different than he was used to.

I sighed aggressively as I put the invitation card on my desk. I do not know what or how to react. All I know is that I am being invited to Phaebe's and Clovis' wedding.

With brows crossed, I looked at him whose sitting on the sofa across me.

"Do you know ba kung ano ang content ng card na ito?" I asked him as I rested my back on the swivel chair.

"No. What is it?" he asked.

I sighed hard. "You won't believe it."

His blank eyes stared back at me like he do not care at all. "Why wouldn't I? Isn't it just some birthday invitation?"

I puffed a breath and shook my head. "Definitely wrong. It's Phaebe's and Clovis' wedding invitation. I am invited. What the hell? Right?"

He stared at me. Then he slowly nodded, looking like he is not surprised at all.

I blinked and looked at him questioningly. "Uh? Hello? Hindi ka na-shock?"

Looking as blank as he is, he leaned his back on the sofa and even crossed his legs. "Hindi naman nakakagulat."

I blinked again. I sat properly.

Really? Hindi siya nagulat?

"Why? I mean si Phaebe ang nag-invite sa akin on her wedding. The point is why would she invite me? Hindi ba siya galit sa akin? And I am sure Clovis is mad at me, so why would he let her invite me?" I asked.

He shrugged with his expressionless face. "Siguro gusto ka lang talaga niyang imbitahin? Wala naman sigurong masama doon?"

I gasped and sighed hard.

I do not know why I am so surprised with the wedding invitation. And I also do not understand why I feel like there is something behind this invitation card. Or am I just overthinking?

I shook my head at the end. "Whatever. I don't know if I'll go rin naman." I said and looked at my laptop again to check the new designs of furnitures sent by the employees to me.

"Why not? They probably spent some time just so they could make an invitation card for you and yet you're not going? Isn't that insulting on their part?" he asked.

I stopped and stared at the laptop's screen. "I'm sure they just reprinted that card anyway. Where's the time wasted?"

"Admit it, Miss Lucy. They might just reprinted the same card but the name written to is yours. Meaning they purposely wrote your name there and spent a whole second for your name. And that's something you should appreciate, Miss Lucy," he said.

My head ached in annoyance. Why do they have to write my name on that damn invitation card anyway? I did not ask them!

I puffed a breath and just rolled my eyes. "Whatever. I don't care, Nikoel. Just go back to work."

I saw him stood up on my peripheral vision. "Alright then. But I'm telling you, Miss Lucy. You should attend."

Then I heard the door creaked open and then closed. Now I am left alone inside the office.

I looked at the closed door and pouted. I sighed hard and rested my back on the swivel chair again.

My eyes went to the invitation card on my desk with a pout on my lips.
