Chapter Fifty-Three

I am walking on the lobby on my way to the cafeteria. Nikoel is not with me because he told me he is still full and that he does not have an appetite. So, I went downstairs alone.

I was about to enter the cafeteria when I noticed Lucas coming from the entrance of the building. But he is not alone. He is with a woman. My eyes turned to the woman he is with.

I blinked.

Why is he with a woman? A pregnant woman to be exact. Akala ko ba hindi siya kasado?

Biglang nag-init ang ulo ko. Did he lie to me? Is he playing?

When I noticed they are about to go to my direction, I quickly look away and acted like walking towards the entrance of the cafeteria.

"Miss Miller?"

I stopped. I am certain that it is Lucas calling me. But why am I suddenly 'Miss Miller' and not 'señorita'?

I gritted my teeth in a mixture of annoyance and anger. I licked my lower lip and breathed in deep, then I prepared a wide smile and turned to them.

"Yes? How may I help you?" I asked him.

This annoying jerk.

They stopped just in front of me. My eyes went to the woman again. She is wearing a black dress that shows her baby bump.

And whose child is that? The jerk beside her?

"Kylie, I would like to introduce to you the CEO of the Miller Company, Miss Luciana Rose Miller. Miss Miller, this is Kylie Chua from the Chua Companies," Lucas started.

Naiinis ako because why the hell does he sound so good while speaking english? And he is fluent!

He really fooled me well years ago!

I blinked. Hindi ko alam ang gagawin. Should I hug her? Why would I?

"Uh..." I looked at the woman. "Hi! Nice meeting you, Miss or Mrs. Chua? How can I help you?" I even extended my hand towards her.

She smiled showing her dimples. Then she accepted my hand and shook it. "It's still Miss Chua for now. But it'll be Mrs. Tan soon."

I raised my brows. Mrs. Tan?

I quickly look at Lucas. His eyes is dark and is looking at the woman as if he is so done with her.

Akala ko ba hindi siya ikakasal? Bakit may biglang magiging Mrs. Tan dito?

"We've already talked about this, Kylie," Lucas spoke in his dark voice.

The woman let go of my hand and rolled her eyes. She instantly look at Lucas and raised her brows.

"Yes, I know, Lucas. But you can't do anything about my Mom's plans. So, if I were you, just go with the flow, okay? We'll still get married and that's it," she said and rolled her eyes.

What? Really?

I could feel my blood building up on my head. Parang gusto kong manabunot ng isang Tan bigla.

She then looked at me and smiled. "I'm sorry about that. I am actually here to make an appointment. But then since we saw you here in the lobby, we just decided to talk to you instead."

I nodded and smiled back. I am hoping that my smile doesn't look fake because trust me I am really mad right now.

"Well, you can talk to my secretary. You may go to his office right now for an appointment. And we'll talk once your appointment is fixed," I said.

She nodded. "Alright, thank you, Miss Miller. I am hoping for a good collaboration with you. I and my fiancee will be very honored to work with you." Then she held Lucas' arms and wrapped her arm there.
