Sunday morning, a very much needed day to relax, especially since next week along with practice, school and work the girls and I are going shopping Friday. I just need Sunday as a nice break, and church is just that for me. I mean with all the working out, school, and weather change I could use a day to rest. Even if I still do cardio on Sundays.
Checking my phone I realize it's 8:17 am, getting up I walk over to my vanity I take vitamins and supplements but because I'm very strict with my intermittent fasting I don't take any of the gummi ones with calories till after 12. I've always been strict with rules I give myself like that. Although I'm often really hungry while I wait for 12:30 to roll around I always feel proud of myself every day I stay within my fasting window. On week days I take all my vitamins except Creatine when I get home from school.
I don't take many supplements just what I need to build muscle and add in missed nutrients. I only buy the Golli brand except for two supplements. Emma turned me into a sucker for brands.
Yes I take the gummies, sure they technically are the least nutrient rich form of vitamin however I already get a lot of vitamins from my diet and don't enjoy the pills. Plus having them be cute little gummies actually reminds me to take them.
A beet soft chew - ( Its great for heart health and lifting heavy can put strain on your heart. It works for me. Plus, in the u.s anyway black Americans have a much higher rate for heart problems than other races and I want to take steps to protect myself even at seventeen.
A men's one a day - ( I take a men's instead of a women's I'm non binary sue me)
Ashwagandha-( I swear to you this is an absolute blessing when comes to managing school related stress. )
Vitamin D3 -( one that I tend to miss out on a bit)
A cranberry pill
Zinc/ iron -( I started taking it when I was anorexic to give me a bit more energy and I've never stopped)
Magnesium -( helps me with staying asleep at night so I'll save that for the evening)
Vitamin c -( I've got to ensure I boost my immune system so I don't get sick this track season)
But honestly, sleep is the best supplement, that's the time when my muscles recover and rest from lifting. It's a good night's rest that gives me the energy and motivation to work out the next day with no pre workout. Pre workout at least the kind with stimulants has tons of caffeine and I do not mess around with caffeine.
I also take creatine, I tend to just mix that in with one of my NAKED juices that I sip on during the day. The texture of the drink is already gritty so I don't really taste the creatine. It's great for building muscle but for it to work I have to drink plenty of water. Allowing myself to be honest I drink plenty of water so I'm good. Since creatine allows your muscles to hang on water, plus it's natural since we already have creatine in our bodies naturally.
After chocking back every supplement I text Cate quickly. She's starting to understand my concern with Rebecca more. I swear that girl us so annoying, we go shopping at the mall she's complaining about clothes that don't work for her. We all want to go and do a workout together, she's specifically complaining to me as if she can't go to YouTube and figure out a workout. We go to Panera and get salads, she tries to make a big deal about getting the lowest calorie salad and not eating the dressing. Gurl please shut up. You weigh Me, Regina, and a few pounds of care tossed together. I can almost dead lift your entire body weight.
" Hey girl, sorry I had to end our phone call early last night but you are totally right. It's very annoying that Rebecca only called you to ask for more food advice. Also it's your cousins wedding, just gave a goodtime ? Maybe next week in class you can set some boundaries with her ?"
