Christina

I could sense Logan's eyes on me throughout the time I was in the pool with Jayden and his friends. Despite my reservations, I enjoyed my time with them. Jayden and his gang were a playful bunch, and before I realized I was having a great time with them.

"Stay away from him," Logan's threatening low growl almost scared me to death.

I was so busy playing volleyball that I didn't realize when Logan joined everyone in the pool.

"If anything, you need to stay away from me," I glared at Logan, tipping my chin.

"Don't test me, Christina," he gritted with a ticking jaw.

"Why?" I crossed my arms and cocked my brow at him, "You aren't my father or guardian to boss me around. I am an adult, and I can do as I wish."

"I might not be your father, but I am the one whose fingers were buried deep inside you last night. And from what I remember, you didn't seem to mind at all," Logan smirked, and heat blasted my cheeks, remembering how his fingers felt inside me.

The asshole.

"Stay away from him or be ready for the consequences," Logan warned, grabbing my waist and pulling the part of my body that was below the surface against him as not to grab attention to us.

"Leave me," I hissed at him.

"Gladly, but remember you belong to me, and if I see another man touching what's mine, I won't be responsible for what happens to him," Logan threatened and then dropped his hand from my waist and swam away.

Fucking caveman.

Who did he think he was to try and boss me around? How could he expect I would obey him after the shit he pulled last night.

"Are you okay?" Jayden's voice pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Yes, yes.... I am good," I passed him a fake smile.

"Who was that?" He inquired, staring at Logan, who pushed out of the pool, grabbing the edge with his veiny arms.

My core clenched, watching the muscles in his back and arms flex with the movement. Even though I was insistent on avoiding Logan, my body had its own mind and desired a repeat of last night and for Logan to finish the job. Even after getting myself off, my body still craved Logan's touch. It didn't seem to get the memo that Logan and I couldn't be a thing. He left me when I needed him and lied to me about Dad's wish there were no way I would let him anywhere near me.

"Christina?" Jayden lightly touched my shoulder.

"Oh, sorry..... he is an old friend, but we haven't been in touch for years," I answered Jayden.

"He looked pissed," Jayden observed.

"He was nothing better to do. Let's not waste time on him. I am having a good time and don't want to ruin my day because of him," I placed my hand on Jayden's arm, and he smiled.

"Yes, let's kick some ass," Jayden grabbed my hand and pulled me to him, then kissed my cheek.

My eyes traveled to Logan, and my stomach plummeted, watching the dark expression on his face. I shook my head to eliminate the anxiousness that enveloped me and focused on the game.

After a few volleyball games, Jayden excused himself for a loo break, and we all settled on the lounge chairs. Harold and Julia joined the group after taking a dip. I searched for Logan but didn't spot him anywhere in the backyard.

A strange feeling gripped me, and my gaze traveled to the glass doors that opened on the patio, looking for Jayden. It had almost been half an hour since he left, and still, there was no sign of him. I got anxious as to why he didn't return. Logan's disappearance only added to my worry. His threat kept repeating in my mind, and my restlessness only grew.

A commotion from inside the house grabbed everyone's attention. People hurried inside with worried faces, and I followed Julia and Harold into the mansion.

"What happened?" Harold asked someone.

"Tate found Jayden beaten and passed out in the bathroom," the guy informed.

My insides curled as Logan's warning rang out in my ears. I pushed through the crowd to reach the center. Jayden sat on the ground, holding his head with a bleeding nose and bruised face.

"Are you okay?" Sabrina inquired to him in a worried voice.

"Yeah, I am good," Jayden groaned.

"Who was it? Who did this to you?" One of Jayden's friends asked.

"I didn't see the bastard. He attacked from behind," Jayden replied.

Anger surged through me at Jayden's reply. It didn't take me any time to figure out who was behind it. I spotted Logan on the landing of the stairs on the first floor, watching the crowd with a smirk. Our eyes met, and his smirk widened. Then he turned and disappeared on the first floor.

I rushed after Logan without thinking, climbing two stairs at a time. The hallway upstairs was empty. I began checking the rooms and found Logan in the third from the left.

"How dare you?" I hissed, stepping into the room.

"I warned you of the consequences, but you chose to ignore my warning," Logan replied calmly.

I wanted to shout at him and slap his beautiful face, but I didn't want to create a scene. My cousins and their girlfriends were downstairs, and I didn't want to give them any wrong idea about Logan and me.

"You had no right to hurt him," I gritted through clenched teeth.

"I warned you, Christina, if you allow him to touch what's mine, you will be the one responsible. Still, you went ahead and allowed him to kiss you," Logan expressed, enraged.

"I am not yours, Logan, and he only kissed my cheek. No need to get your panties in a bunch over it," I snapped.

Logan covered the distance between us with angry strides, and before I could comprehend what was happening, he kicked the door shut and pinned me to it.

"You are mine, Christina," he growled in a possessive tone, which made my insides melt.

I always longed for Logan to want me, but he never considered me more than a friend. Seeing him going feral over a guy touching me gave a sick satisfaction to a twisted part of me.

"You left me, remember? Now you don't have any right over me," I asserted calmly, looking into his deep brown eyes that burned with fury.

The possessive glint in his eyes made me want to dance in triumph. It felt nice to be able to get back at Logan for leaving me. The selfish bastard didn't think about me once and expected me to set aside everything once he returned.

"I regret every second of staying away from you," Logan leaned over me, grabbing my throat, "if I had known my desire for you would consume me, I would have never let you out of my sight."

"You left, and now I have moved on. It would be better if you accept it and leave me alone," I tried to push him away, but Logan didn't budge. Instead, his hold on my throat tightened, and he grabbed my waist with his free hand.

"I would burn down the world before I let you move on with someone else," He said and crushed his lips over mine.

It was my first kiss. I had never been kissed before. I had never allowed any man or boy to come close to me. Right then, my best friend was kissing the hell out of me. My lips moved in sync with his unusually soft lips.

Rage fueled us as we kissed each other in desperation. Logan's hand moved from my throat to the back of my head, and he fisted my hair, angling my face to get better access.

"You are so damn infuriating," Logan pulled my lip between his teeth and bit on it.

I hissed and opened my mouth to curse him, but he slid his tongue into my mouth. His minty taste exploded in my mouth as he swirled his tongue around mine. I imitated his actions, and before I realized our tongues battled for dominance.

Logan's hand on my waist dipped lower to my hips and slid inside my bikini. I gasped as his fingers slipped between my wet folds.
