Christina

"Why?" Aiden dropped my sleeve and hurried to Logan.

"Aiden...," I protested, but it was too late. He already reached Logan.

I pursed my lips in anger and glared at Logan, who was watching me with a triumphant smirk on his face.

"Your Mom rejected me when I proposed to her," Logan lowered his haunches before Aiden.

The color left my face as I stared at Logan in horror. How could he say something like that to a child?

"Mom, is Logan telling the truth? Did he propose to you, and you rejected him?" Aiden turned to me and inquired in an unhappy voice.

"Go on, tell him, Christina, why did you reject me?" Logan smirked cruelly.

A lump formed in my throat, and I felt like my tongue got tied to my throat. Logan was a heartless bastard. He didn't even care how this would affect my child.

"Cat got your tongue, darling?" He arched his brow in mockery.

Aiden was staring between us, puzzled. Logan's mind games were too much for his understanding.

"Alright, let me tell him instead," the wicked glint in his voice got brighter, and I forced myself to stop his nonsense.

"It's getting late. You need to have dinner and sleep," I grabbed Aiden's hand.

"No, I want to hear what Logan was saying," Aiden pulled his hand out of my hold.

I stepped closer to him and was about to pull Aiden into my arms when Logan beat me to it and pulled Aiden into his arms. He pushed to his feet, making me stumble back a step as he straightened.

"Why don't you prepare dinner while Aiden and I chat?"

I wanted to slap Logan at this moment. He was trying to create a rift between me and Aiden. How much lower could he stoop? I don't think I had ever hated him more than I hated him at this moment.

"Logan, keep my son out of this," I hissed, trying to pull Aiden from him.

Logan stopped my attempts, raising his free arm and pushing me aside, "Don't be a spoilsport, Christina. Aiden likes spending time with me, don't you, Champ?" Logan purred.

I could feel my blood simmering in my veins. If only I were capable of killing someone, it would be none other than Logan De La Roche. Aiden was clinging to Logan, watching me with resentment in his eyes. His expressions only worked as gasoline in the fire burning inside me.

"Aiden, come with me, now," I used my reprimanding tone, which always worked, but this time, it didn't have the desired effect.

Aiden stayed immobile in Logan's arms, his arms around Logan's neck tightening. Logan smirked at me with an evil gleam in his eyes. At this moment, he looked like the devil incarnate. He was sent to Earth only to make my life a living hell.

"I don't think your Mom wants to feed you. She looks in no mood to cook. Why don't you and I eat outside? What do you like, burger or pizza?" Logan taunted, then cooed to Aiden, walking past me.

"Logan, you can't take him with you," I followed him with a soaring temper.

How dare he take my son out without my permission? It was his first day, and he was already turning my son against me.

"I didn't ask for your permission," he shrugged.

"I am his mother!" I exclaimed, aghast.

"And I am your boss, and if you are forgetting Ms. Williams, I don't have any qualms to remind you that you signed a contract," Logan halted and turned towards me.
