"How did you figure out that she's no longer a virgin?" They'd have to wait until tomorrow to check Yang Siqi's phone, and since they had nothing to do for now, they might as well chat.
"The old nannies in the palace taught me, you can tell if a woman is a virgin or not just by the way she walks," Shen Qiuhua said with a smile. "Haven't you noticed your walking posture has changed from before?"
"Hey, hey!" Yang Qiong's face rarely turned red. "How did this suddenly become about me?"
Shen Qiuhua, amused at seeing Yang Qiong embarrassed, tilted her head and stared at her with a curious yet adorably dazed expression. It made Yang Qiong's blood race, and internally, a ravenous wolf was howling wildly.
"Do you think Qiu Yang is really dead?" Yang Qiong straightened up, pushing aside her inner wolf and trying to focus on serious matters.
"If it's a lie, it would be too easy to expose. All we need to do is check Qiu Yang's death records to verify the truth. To make others believe a lie, at least nine out of ten things must be true, so they'll believe the one falsehood." In her past life in the deep palace, that was how Shen Qiuhua always operated—sometimes telling nine and a half truths and just half a lie.
Yang Qiong nodded. She understood that logic too. "I just feel like something's strange about this whole thing. Some parts don't add up."
"Tell me what you think." Shen Qiuhua had seen Yang Qiong analyze situations before, but she was always curious to see more since Yang Qiong used her fists more than her brain most of the time.
"Well, first of all, how did Chen Siqi get separated from her friends? Why were she and Qiu Yang the only ones left? She never explained that clearly. And after her friends rescued her from danger, normally, wouldn't the first thing be to ask about Qiu Yang's whereabouts? That's a basic thing to do. But this lady said she went home and only later went to look for Qiu Yang because she couldn't figure out what happened. It's as if Qiu Yang, who was with her the whole time, just vanished without her caring—only when she needed him did she think to ask." When Yang Qiong analyzed something like this, she seemed much more focused and serious.
Shen Qiuhua watched Yang Qiong's mouth open and close, momentarily mesmerized. Serious people really were the most attractive.
"If you keep staring, I'll eat you up!" Yang Qiong, waiting for a response, finally spoke up when she noticed Shen Qiuhua was just staring.
Shen Qiuhua snapped out of it. "I thought of the first question you raised too. I think the fact that only the two of them were left together was deliberate. Maybe it was planned by her friends, maybe by Qiu Yang, or... maybe by her."
Yang Qiong gasped. "Are you saying... Chen Siqi might have purposely arranged for her and Qiu Yang to be alone?"
"Who knows? I'm just saying it's a possibility." Shen Qiuhua, feeling a bit tired, shifted her body and lay down on Yang Qiong's lap, finding the most comfortable position. "Go on, keep talking."
Talk about what? Yang Qiong's mind was all over the place now. "Uh... Shouldn't we try role-playing?"
"Hmm?" Shen Qiuhua looked up. "You mean..."
"If you were Chen Siqi, and suppose her friends staged the separation, what do you think their motive would be?" Yang Qiong asked.
Shen Qiuhua bit her lip, her eyes sparkling. "To matchmake them?"
"Would you try to matchmake two people who had no feelings for each other?"
Shen Qiuhua immediately caught on to her point. "You're saying the two of them had feelings for each other, and their friends noticed."
