Yang Qiong was still approaching, getting close enough to be nearly ten meters away. Everyone held their breath because, at such a close distance, there was no time to evade anything. Yang Qiong was at risk of danger at any moment.
Sure enough, the two remaining assailants moved at the same time, and this time they weren't negligent. They remained concealed behind the wall, leaving the sniper powerless.
After shifting their positions, both criminals fired simultaneously, with bullets hitting Yang Qiong's chest one after another. Yang Qiong fell to the ground with a thud. Everyone gasped, instantly ready to await orders for a strong assault.
"Chief Jin!" someone asked for instructions.
"Don't panic!" Chief Jin was momentarily shocked by the sight of Yang Qiong on the ground. However, he was familiar with Yang Qiong- she is not someone so easily hit.
Sure enough, after Yang Qiong fell, all shooting angles had already changed, and her gun finally fired. One assailant was hit in the chest and collapsed, unsure of whether he was dead or alive. The last one, seeing the situation and having lost the will to resist, hesitated for a moment before tossing away his gun and surrendering.
The tense atmosphere finally relaxed, and everyone looked at Yang Qiong, who was getting up, with a look of disbelief.
"Are you alright?" Chief Jin approached with a smile.
"Why don't you try getting shot twice?" Yang Qiong retorted, not in the best of moods. Although she wore a bulletproof vest, being shot at such a close distance still hurt a lot.
"You could have avoided it," Chief Jin replied nonchalantly, showing no intention of calling for medical personnel to check on Yang Qiong.
Yang Qiong dusted off the dirt from her head, "Puh! How long would I have to wait to avoid this? I'm a teacher now, I need to go home and prepare lessons, you know? I'm very busy."
Chief Jin called for someone to help her take off the bulletproof vest and continued his nonsensical banter without acknowledging her. 'What lesson would a physical education teacher need to prepare?'
"Alright, the task is complete. I'm leaving. In the future, don't look for me for this kind of thing. Calculating angles and distances is mentally exhausting. What if I get comatose from it?" Yang Qiong murmured as she finally left, but she did not go far before she returned.
"Why are you back?"
Yang Qiong extended her hand towards Chief Jin, "My bonus."
Chief Jin, experienced as he was, calmly replied, "That requires a report and approval from above."
Yang Qiong remained unfazed, "Then reimburse my taxi fare. I spent over forty on the way here, and my monthly salary is only three hundred. If you don't reimburse me, I'll starve to death."
The expressions on the faces of the nearby officers were mingled with agony and muscle twitching. Where did Chief Jin find such a unique character?
Chief Jin's lips finally twitched several times as he pulled out fifty yuan from his pocket and handed it to her. "You, how have you become even more of a rogue than before? Is this enough?"
Yang Qiong suppressed her impulse to check if the money was real or fake and tucked it into her clothing. However, she didn't leave and stood next to Chief Jin to watch the excitement.
"Why aren't you leaving?" Chief Jin asked, confused since she had just said she was very busy.
Yang Qiong rolled her eyes. "Where am I supposed to catch a taxi in such a remote place? Also, you only gave me fifty, which is just enough to get here. You haven't given me any for the return trip."
